This place is a hidden gem of delicious, authentic Mexican/Honduran food in Fort Lauderdale. We enjoyed it so much we went two... times. Rodrigo was our server. He was so helpful in our menu selections and treated us like royalty. Everything was deliciousand presented beautifully. This place is located right off of the Main Street that runs along beaches. Both times, we were therefor late lunch/early dinner. Read more

Initially, my husband and I visited this restaurant on Monday. We were blown away by the service rendered by who we think was... the owner. The woman greeted us at the door and immediately told us the specials and handed me a menu. I was on the fence aboutthe restaurant because I?m vegetarian. But her warm and friendly demeanor superseded my urge to walk out. We sat down and theowner/hostess took her time and explained the menu. Made recommendations and listened to my simple but picky order. I onlywanted hard shell tacos shredded cheese and guacamole. She accompanied it with black beans and rice. As simple as this order is,it is screwed up across the country. She made sure my order was right on the first try. My husband got a platter with 4 meatsand enjoyed it. Our experience was amazing. Now let?s fast forward to tonight. We walked in at 830pm and the staff seemedannoyed because they were sweeping up to close. But nonetheless, they sat us. I attempted to order the same exact thing Iordered Monday. It was a fail. The waitress did not listen. She didn?t show patience either. Then insisted on selling me 4 tacosinstead of listening to my request for 3. Then proceeds to go to the kitchen to argue with the chef. Our experience from 2 daysago was night and day. Therefore, we decided to leave and not dine there. Restaurants typically don?t do well because theyaren?t properly managed when the owner isn?t present. I hope that the owner sees this and makes adjustments accordingly. Update:went back 10/6 and the owners nephew was there. We explained what happened the night before and he apologized. His demeanor wasfriendly and understanding. He listened to our order and properly executed. Due to his customer service, I upgraded my Review.Thank you Read more

I?d like to start by saying this wasn?t my first visit at La Costa. It came highly recommended by a cousin of mine and I went... earlier this year. Definitely enjoyed my first experience much more than today, however I still give it 5 stars for a fewreasons. 1. Amazing service (today, they had a staff shortage and I wish we were attended to a little better, but I understandthe issue they had and still feel they did their best) 2. The food is ALWAYS fresh and so delicious. At this point, all I knowis that it?s a great fusion of a few Latin cuisines that blend effortlessly. 3. The price is fair for the quality received. 4. The drinks! Always good, always on point. 5. The location- for me, location can make or break a restaurant and whether I evenvisit (sorry, not sorry) this is right on las olas Blvd., prepare for minimal parking ahead of time or visit during off-peakhours. There are restaurants that claim to be authentic and disappoint. This one was so good we came back here every day during our... vacation. The menu is large and every item on it was delicious. The portions are generous so come hungry. The cocktails werenext level. They're secret is that they use fresh juices rather than flavouring. So your strawberry margarita will actually havefresh strawberries juice in it. Rodrigo was our server and remembered us and our drinks every time. DEFINITELY try this placeout. Read more

My pkace to go for a good bite, this place might be small but has lots of flavor, their staff is always welcoming, big portions... always fresh. Menu's great with something for everyone, from Mexican to hodurian food, chicken, beef, seafood and greatselections of beers, drinks and cocktails. That time had the beef soup, delicious, with baleada, (soft tortilla with beanscream, eggs and avocado) awesome. Read more

With only 3 months of having opened their doors, this place is already a hidden gem in town! Let?s start out with attention to... Service. Alejandro (like Lady GaGa?s song as he says) literally opened the door for us as we walked up to the restaurant.Greeted us with the warmest smile and catered to our experience from that moment on. He promised that we were in for the bestfood experience yet and he delivered just that! The bartender, Rodrigo also made sure he came by to eagerly tend to us and makesure we were taken care of. The food was so fresh, and the flavors of everything we ordered was one surprising moment after thenext! My favorite was the presentation of all of their dishes! From the towering artisan bean dip and chips, to the coconut riceand beans side dish hidden under an actual halved coconut shell. They don?t spare on the presentation details that make yousmile! La Costa, Olas (the exterior sign says La Costa Mexican Latin Cuisine) include dishes from Mexico, Honduras, Colombia, and Central America to name some so you?ll have a one stop shop of multicultural authentic dishes to pick from! We got theretoo early for it that day but they also have live Mariachis (my favorite) Sundays at 6pm and live music Tuesdays as well! Ihighly HIGHLY recommend you put this on your dining list of places to try! The food, the service and the ambience is definitelyrefreshing and I can?t wait to go back!! Read more

One of the best in town. I am so glad we found this hidden gem while on vacation in FL. The food is delicious! Also good place... for family with kids. We were here every other day for dinner :). Favorites on the menu: Carne Asada with coconut rice and Picode gallo guaca guaca. Yummy! Our kids enjoyed the food very much as well. Be sure to try their taco Tuesdays! Read more
