After a long hiatus, partly due to covid, we ordered some food from Joyce. We were pleasantly surprised to find there has been... much improvement to the taste of their food. Especially to two of our favorites: Steamed Wonton in Spicy Peanut Sauce and RoastPork Chow Fun. The spicy peanut sauce had a nice acidity, thick enough and well balanced. We literally wiped the remainingsauce with bread, delicious! The flat rice noodles were not overcooked, chewy as they should be, sauce was not overly sweet andthere's just enough oil to ensure the chow fun not sticking to each other. My family and I used to order from here all of the time. We had ordered Chinese in quite some time but ordered tonight. The food... was lacking taste and the portion was very small. The chicken was burnt and overcooked. We will not give them any more business. Read more
20 year fort Lee resident, usual takeout joint King Hong, neighbor recommended Joyce. Very disappointing, simple order egg foo... young combo plate tasted of old oil, no natural flavors, maybe previously frozen? Food had a weird, subtle ,bitter taste. Won't go back. Out of my way. I?ve ordered 2 special dinner platters. The platters consisted of 90% rice and 10% of the actual entree. I understand its the... pandemic and we are all ?hurting financially? but joyce restaurant is so dishonest with their portions! Ordered take out. Delivery was quick. Roast pork loin mein was ok, young chow fried rice was bad - too wet, seafood dish was... cheap hence didn't come with the stated crab meat, general tso chicken was ok and friend dumplings were ok. Portions were goodsize, typical Chinese take out. Read more
