We stopped here on a Saturday afternoon and got a couple of lunch specials of pernil, pollo guisado, rice, beans, maduros, and... yucca, along with a couple of empanadas on the side. Everything was absolutely delicious! It?s a hole in the wall with only acouple of tables to sit at, but the food is not to be missed. Read more
Way too pricy, rude employees and HAIR in my food. Very disappointed in what they call a ?good meal? might I add this was $14.... After calling to complain, they hung up on me while describing the situation. Go to Johnny fried chicken if you want Dominicanfood. Read more
This is a restaurant if you want to call it that lol, no sitting but with prices as if your dinning inn ? How do you charge... double/triple the average, and you cant even eat inside lol? You would think the food speaks for it self?nope! The mealportions are half, the quality is dinner mid level. 1 empanada is 3$ lol ???? If this place was in a Hispanic community , Ihightly doubt it would even remain opened . To each is own, i personally dont care what their doing, but it is so obvious to aHispanic, my own mother 60plus years old called it out lol. Would never get a penny from me again! Read more
Ordered takeout from Uber eats, We got lost tres golpes ( three hits ) eggs, fried cheese, salami & the mangu of course, I got... mofongo de Chicharron & I added queso frito ( fried cheese ). We got two empanadas of beer and two of cheese.. the cheese as youcan see from the pictures was not a lot and whatever cheese is used melts completely onto the inside walls of the empanada. Thesizes are very small to be paying 3$ for each little empanada to be honest.. I don?t even pay 3$ in New York City so I was a bitconfused when I saw how minuscule they were.:.:. Then to top it off not even all that taste wise. Mofongo was dry, they addedtwo little sauces but to be honest that only help for half of it after that I couldn?t eat it of how dry it was & there was nomore sauces for the mofongo or mangu... juices were great I ordered a chinola juice ( passion fruits natural juice ) & a MorrirSoñando ( die dreaming // orange cream drink ) .. but got two chinola juices instead.... ???????????????? so I was a tad sadabout that but luckily I love both juices the same lol. They got really delicious Empanadas, will totally go back for those. Other food dishes are little pricey but the quantity is a... lot. Liked their pan seared fish and shrimp dish. The lady at counter was really nice and helped me to pick out items to order. The food takes a while to get ready unless you are buying already cooked ones. Read more
