Staff was lovely, some still in training. Nice modern decor but a bit cold industrial for a shop serving comforting noodles.... Vegan ramen was not as described in the menu; promised mushroom, menma, and seaweed. Instead it had dried tomatoes and a clumpof spaghetti squash? Odd & Disappointing. Noodles were reminiscent of dried boxed vermicelli, no texture, bounce, or chew. Brothwas shio style, rich but lacking a layer of deeper umami, like they forgot to add the tare to the bowl? The tsukemen thickernoodles were far better. Tsukemen broth was served at a med temp, so after a few refrigerated cold noodle dips, everything waslukewarm. Rich Fat & Fish were the dominant broth flavors, again it needed a deeper salty umami layer; perhaps shoyu, miso?????The spicy version was better as the spice filled in that flavor gap. Did not live up to the hype, chalk it up to new openingjitters? Read more

Bouncy chewy noodles. Flavorful broth. Tasty food overall. Service was a bit unorganized and slow, but the waitstaff are very... nice. Cups smelled unclean, a bit like laundry that has been sitting in the machine for too long. Read more

My first impression is that soup and noodles are pretty much same as that famous ramen restaurant. It would be perfect if there... were sesame seeds, Beni-shouga / red ginger, and white pepper powder. These options are almost common in authentic area and it?simportant. but I have never encountered them in NY area. So it may be too much to ask for. It is tasty standard tonkotu ramen. Read more

Very clean and nicely organized place. Open kitchen shows that they take cleanliness very seriously. Menu is very simple,... tsukemen, ramen, appitizers. I had Takoyaki and Deluxe tonkotsu ramen. Soup was very flavorful and noodle was good in term ofthickness. One of the best around town. Read more

Had Tsukemen, Karage, and Takoyaki. Karage was good but Takoyaki was just ok. Tsukemen was good at first, but got salty since... the dipping soup temperature getting cool down. Also, Chashu was salty and tasted so much of Dwenjang (Korean soybean paste) orMiso. Read more

I spent 2 years in Sawtelle, and I tell all my friends that Tsujita is my favorite restaurant of all time. So when I heard that... they were opening one here in the tri state, I was super stoked. When I lived in Sawtelle, I would go to Tsujita weekly. I biked11 miles from Long Island City to this new location on opening week (which speaks volume for my affinity towards Tsujita). Thefood was great, albeit I was pretty disappointed by the disparity between the LA one and this one. The LA one has jars ofpickled ginger and spicy takana at each table, free of charge. They also provided extra unlimited garlic when requested. I wasextremely disconcerted that they didn?t do that here, and charged $1 for a very small amount of spicy takana. This is a HUGEgame changer for me after trying this location. I realized how crucial the trinity of those 3 items were to my enjoyment of abowl of their tsukemen, because I love the perfect balance of noodles to meat to vegetables ratio. I am still going to give thisplace 4 stars because of how much I am a fan of Tsujita, but hope that they see this and will supply the unlimited gingers, takana, and garlic like they do at their LA location! Waited weeks for this place to open and it did not disappoint! My husband and I visited on opening day (stood in line for way... too long) but the wait was worth it. We ordered the deluxe tsukemen, deluxe ramen, matcha pudding, and some sort of shaved icedessert. The meat to noodle portions were perfect and the broth for both bowls were full of flavor. They also had plenty ofother tsukemen and ramen options, as well as rice bowls. Prices are a little high (~$20 for deluxe bowls) but for the qualityand taste, I have no complaints. HIGHLY recommend trying the shaved ice dessert, it was insanely good. The match pudding wasalso good and they said they make that every morning. Service was quick and they do go through the menu with you so if you'renot familiar with ramen terminology, they are more than happy to describe the meals for you. All in all, we will be back veryvery soon to try the rest ?? Read more
