Was the absolute worst Mexican food ever!!! Would not recommend anything. Rice was still hard and stale. Everything, no matter... what, was in a flour tortilla topped w cheese. My chili relleno was just chili slices and dry, flavorless ground beef, yes,rolled in a flour tortilla topped w some melted cheese. What is that??? Certainly not a relleno!! I'm not going to waste my timeon the sauce less, cheeseless enchiladas full of icky potatoes that weren't even supposed to be in cheese enchiladas. And salsamade from tomato sauce with no cilantro, onion, garlic, chili's, flavor. Horrid!! Read more

I drive a truck for a construction company and I have eaten at Mexican restaurants all over Southeast Iowa.. How this place gets... a 4 star rating is beyond me.. Nothing traditional about this place especially the cheese.. Read more

Definitely not as good as it used to be. None of it made any of the 25 people in our party wish to come back again. The server... we had did well, but hopefully he is able to move employment elsewhere as Amigos has only gone down hill over the years. Themargaritas were tasty but very small for the price. I think this place must be loved by the locals, which leads me to believe either all of Fort Madison?s is low quality, or we... just had a super unfortunate dining experience. Nachos were cold. Beef wasn?t seasoned. Honestly the best thing about the wholemeal was the chips- be warned they charge extra for them! But the menu prices are lower so I actually appreciate thatmove. Over all it wasn?t terrible, but it reminded me more of what I would have made in a dorm room rather than gotten at aMexican restaurant. Read more

A surprise to find Tex-Mex food this far north, yet they miss some of the ethos of the dining. Normally the restaurant charges... a little more for the food so that the chips are gratis. They have an interesting fried flour cut tortillas. Read more
