Staff is friendly and proficient fro what they do. Food and service was great, we had a large group of over 40. Both lounge side... and restaurant had our meals out quickly. We had eaten here before and had an ok meal, decided to try it again recently and had an excellent meal, we have actually eaten... here twice this summer. Service was great, steaks were cooked perfectly, everything was delicious!!! I had an issue with mywine, it was replaced and the owner/manager even took the time to come chat about it. As I got back late and was craving a steak sandwich I thought I would try Mr.Mikes. Nestled in a little strip joint tucked off... of Manning it had an underwhelming presence. Being that it was 8:30 on a Tuesday the dinning area was empty so I went to thelounge. I ordered a pop and a steak sand med rare. The food came out quick and hot. I opted for the 8oz portion since I washungry. Presentation was pretty plain with three little onion rings beside the steak served on a garlic bread and a handful offries. The salmon tasted good but the portion sizes were quite small, overpriced, and the rest of my order was either overcooked or... undercooked. The fries had the life fried out of them and were just a husk of what should have been. The garlic bread was $6.99for a tiny half slice of a sub bun with no flavour, overcooked until it was hard. The salmon was delicious but for $28.99 I'dexpect a fillet at least twice the size of what I got. It was only an inch and a half wide. The burnt fries and handful ofundercooked veggies did not even come close to making up for the price. The server had absolutely no knowledge of the menu,manners, and did not deliver any service beyond what was necessary. She even struggled to provide the bare minimum consideringthat my empty water glass remained empty for the duration of my visit, and when I asked about a menu item, she told me she knewnothing about it and didn't offer to get another server or to find the information I wanted. Overall, I left very disappointed,and wishing I had my money back. The only reason for my 2-star review was that the salmon tasted okay. Every other element ofthe experience was lacking or disappointing in every way. I now see this place as an overrated waste of money. I wouldn't evenrisk going there again to give them a second chance knowing that the second chance is going to probably end up burning a hole inmy pocket and leaving a hole in my stomach.
