On Saturday, we had a family luncheon there after my Mother’s funeral. The owner helped me choose the menu and the chef made... my Mother’s favorite pie for desert. We had a large private room to ourselves and a delicious, first class lunch with openbar. The food, cocktails and service were outstanding. I highly recommend the Grandview Tavern. Read more

Service? Excellent. Staff? Very friendly. Taste buds? Immensely underwhelmed. First time trying Grandview, came in for burger... week. We tried the burger, calamari, broccolini, scalloped potatoes, and some drinks. The best part? The drinks. (Hence thesecond star). Not coming back. Read more
We went for the burger week special. The ambience was very nice, fairly quiet setting. The wait staff was very attentive to any... of our needs. Everyone in our family ordered the special, and a side of French fries. The burger was pretty good. It was alittle dry though, I think if it had a little more than just a drizzle of rhe balsamic sauce, it would have been a lot better.The French fries were fresh and hot. I don't personally see them bring worth $4 a piece though. I definitely could haveoverlooked them, but I did not see them on the menu before hand, to see a price. Food was good but seemed overpriced. Overall, not the experience I was hoping to have. We were seated at the edge of the bar... area. Not the ambience of fine dining that I have experienced there before. They did have live music this evening with anexceptional guitarist which was nice. One oyster of our half dozen was served just as a shell, no oyster. The server didn’ttell us what kind of oysters they were, and we did not ask, but they were very small. The server apologized and brought outanother single one to replace it without an issue. I ordered a glass of wine as my dinner arrived and had I not stopped eatinghalf way through it would not have made it before I finished. Again the server apologized but it was a second letdown. Therestaurant was not busy either. I saw at least three other servers and a hostess and a bartender, so I don’t think they wereunderstaffed. I would recommend for burgers/bar food but not a nice dinner. Read more
