We ordered the miso soup and Benjamin Roll, with salmon instead of tuna. One of the best rolls I've ever had. Even the soup was... very tasty, with plenty of tofu. Food was good, our first chef left the hibachi due to not feeling well, then a little while later as food is still sitting... there cooking, we finally got a new chef. No frills, no volcano onion, no flipping things, no entertainment. From start tofinish they were very unorganized. They sat us 15 minutes late and it would of been longer had I not asked why we weren'tseated yet, they said they thought they had already seated, we had a beeper that never went off. First time being here & it was definitely a great experience! It?s beautiful inside & the food was on point. Our chef was funny... & super down to earth. Only giving it 4 stars because our server forgot our drinks a couple times, & also messed up the checks.Also the bus girl with the blonde hair was taking our plates with food on it before we were even finished without asking. Shethrew out one of our appetizers that we were planning to box to take home & almost threw out my friends dinner while she was inthe bathroom. Her husband had to repeat himself twice before she put the plate back down. She should really ask if we arefinished before just grabbing plates that still have food on them. We went here a few days ago. The hot Sake did not taste right, the Ginger dressing did not taste right, and the rest of the... food, sushi and a couple of other dishes just weren't very good. The service was not good, the waiter completely forgot tobring us our Sushi order, among other things. The prices were pretty high. The music was a guy playing a piano. It was WAY,too loud, and he played WAY too fast like he was just belting them out and trying to get them over with asap. It was a VERYVERY disappointing experience, and we will never go back. We were a party if 14 and 2 birthdays. Food was incredible besides the cold soup and non interactive chief but the service was... awful. Our server was over sat and the managers did not help at all. He took 45 minutes to get our first round of drinks to thetable. One of the managers (a woman with glasses ) watched from the corner we had to ask them to come over. I spoke with twomanagers and they did not even seem to care. One of them just said thank you for the input and did not address the issue. Justa lame experience Wont be back. Read more

Daruma is in a great location and a beautiful building. I recommend making a reservation to make sure you get in to enjoy this... place! Prices are high but the quality and quanity make it well worth it. We sat as a family and did the hibachi experience. Thecook was very nice and entertaining. Don?t get me wrong, restaurant is beautiful. Food was good but portions were small for the price, specially the hibachi. I?ve... been to many hibachi and any kind of Asian restaurants and I have a shellfish allergy, which I always tell the person who ishelping us. We already order, I order vegetarian sushi not hibachi, the manager comes and ask us to sign a non liability orresponsibility for my allergies, which I could understand if this happen when we order but I already ate have of my food so Idon?t feel safe anymore, plus I?m pregnant. Not happy with this situation. I would never go back. I understand allergies is nojoke which is why I always tell in advance my allergies and carry my epi pen.
