I was looking for a good Italian restaurant in Fort Myers and I found one! It is called, the Saucy meatball! Wow! This place is... great! It is really tucked away in a little Plaza. But when you go in, it looks like take out only. Then you are escorted to theback where it opens up into a very large dining room and they even have very large dining spaces outside! The appetizers and thefood were extravagant. The drinks are very reasonable, and they even have non-alcoholic options. For the price of everything,you really got a lot of delectable food that was handmade in the kitchen. They had more than enough staff to serve you whileyou're eating. Their restrooms are some of the best restrooms I have ever seen and they are handicapped accessible as well . Theparking lot is tight but they still have ample enough amounts of parking spots and handicap spots up front. The only downsidewas that the Uber Eats Personnel we're parking in the handicap spot. Italian food is a favorite of mine and I thought I?ve had it all until I tried this place. From the presentation and service of... the restaurant, to the presentation and taste of the food, this place left no gaps in being one of the best Italian restaurantsaround. The baked pasta had a really rich and creamy sauce to it that almost tasted like chicken soup. When paired with thebaked/melted cheese on the pasta, it felt like a thousand flavors in my mouth. This dish wasn?t overloaded with too much shrimpor chicken either and really let you savor the richness of the noodles and sauce. Can?t rave enough about The Saucy Meatball! It has everything. Great food, great service and I love their outdoor dining patio... overlooking the hanging Spanish moss. We ordered the fried eggplant stack, Italian wings, veal Marsala, shrimp pasta and thedrunken Sicilian pizza. Everyone in our party raved about their meal and to top it off we ordered the cheesecake and the whitechocolate, raspberry bread pudding. Fabulous! Read more
I don't just give a five star review away. So this one means alot as we have tried another place in town. Off the menu we tried... Mama's Meatballs, Alfredo's Friend Alexander, Mozzarella Squares, Stromboli, and lastly the lasagna. Stromboli best I've everhad anywhere, and larger than expected. Alexander was alright, probably a four star. Mozzarella squares kind of the sameeverywhere.(we didn't eat there for them) Lasagna was fantastic. Meatballs, phenomenal.
