I was on vacation there in July. My Aunt and I were looking for a good place to have a grouper sandwich. SOB was within... walking distance of my beach rental. This place did not disappoint. I had the fried grouper sandwich which was absolutelydelicious. Crispy fries and a large piece of grouper. The coleslaw was great as well. Just what I was looking for...a giant bucket of a variety of shellfish. For a touristy place it wasn't bad. Funny when waitress... asked if I wanted my oysters steamed or raw. I asked if the oysters were fresh or from today and She paused with a deer inheadlights look. Told her to steam them to be safe and she said oh so glad u chose that lol wasn't the best seafood as it wasnot really seasoned and not really super fresh and a little overcooked but it hit the spot for variety and prices these days.Clams were delicious and oysters were good steamed and dipped in butter. In town for the weekend, bartender at our hotel suggested we check out SOB for dinner (Smoking Oyster Brewery). Going to have to... thank him tomorrow. Great food, drinks & live music! The BEST service and food EVER!!! We got the pickle spears as an app and shared a bucket of snow crab legs and peel and eat... shrimp. We had just spent several hours on the beach and were headed back to our car with plans to grab burgers on the way home. Nope. ... The smells as we got closer caught our attention so we decided to give it a try. Our server tony was the best, offering tidbitsof knowledge and suggestions as we decided what to order.
