Food had doubled in price since last time I had been there and wasn't as good. Not the best of service .

Can?t tell you what the food was like bc they were closed @ 3:30pm when we walked over from the marathon gas station where we... parked our truck for the day. Didn?t want to give a negative review bc the food might be great. Also with everything going on inour country today maybe they can?t afford to keep it opened when business is slow. I wish them well. But we should for sure bemade aware that they may not be opened during normal business hours and they did not announce they were closed online where wecould be aware. Call first Update: ate breakfast here the next morning?the Belgian waffle with strawberries and crepe wasamazing! The double order of ?all the way? hash browns was perfectly browned and crispy with all the wonderful flavors. Therewas a very minuscule amount of ham and salt but the salt was fixable. We ordered to go. Though the staff was nice. The pancakes were burned, eggs swimming in butter & stake had no flavor! Waste of... hard earned money. We threw it ALL away! Shame on the cook with the grumpy disposition. He needs to take pride in what he does.I would never want to put that kind of food out in representation of my talent. Read more
While staying at our camper we decided we wanted a late breakfast. Not having groceries to cook breakfast, we decided to go to... Waffle King for take out. Our choice was spot on, breakfast was awesome!! We enjoyed, scrambled eggs, bacon, loaded potatoes,and a strawberry waffle! The staff were working hard to take care of all the hungry customers, but never failed to be polite,and accommodating. I think we in Fort Payne have one of the best Waffle Kings, along with the best Cooks! If you are hungry, youcan't go wrong eating here! Read more
If you're going here, you know what you're getting. A small, home like meal, some coffee and some waffles. Tends to stay pretty... busy, and staff is really friendly (at least in my visits.) I never had to ask for a refill of my drink, and service was prompt. Read more
Just stopped in for breakfast and I?m so glad we chose this place! We walked right in and got a table. First, I have to mention... the coffee, it was really good and my cup was filled before ever asking. Linda and Evelyn were our servers and they were veryattentive and the sweetest ladies you?ll ever meet. The cook, Josh, got our order out quickly and everything was cookedperfectly and tasted delicious! We will definitely be visiting again and I highly recommend Royal Waffle King. Read more
