This place is awesome! Came here to get an OHV pass to ride Peters Mill and was assisted by a very helpful and friendly lady.... Tried out their Steak & Cheese sandwich and it was definitely worth the wait! Read more

If you are rolling thru this beautiful part of God\'s country and pass by this hidden gem you will not forgive yourself! The... sandwiches and Subs are handmade to order and let me tell you they are not shy about the meat! I drive a truck and make it apoint to schedule myself here every 2 weeks. The staff is super friendly and l always enjoy popping in. Read more

TLDR: Stop in. There are very good sandwiches, coffee, groceries, art, gifts, and if you\'ve read this far: the best carrot cake... I\'ve ever had.\n\nClaire is very simply the best. Her staff are so kind and so helpful. Did I mention the carrot cake?\n\nIcame across the store during a mid-pandemic camping trip, and I was smart enough to grab a slice of the cake out of the fridgeto go with our firewood. Me and a friend with roots in the area agreed that this was the best carrot cake we\'ve ever had. So Ibeelined right back to the store after we packed up camp determined to find the cake maker. It wasn\'t hard- hi Claire! Sincethen, I have made several pilgrimages (I\'m only about 60 miles away...) back, obviously follow on IG and subscribe to thenewsletter, and I really really value Claire\'s hard work, carrot cake, style, and Fort Valley as a whole because of the store. This is not the kind of place I visit casually in an increasingly polarized world. And yet, it\'s worth it every time. FortValley is beautiful.\n\nIf you\'ve made it *this* far, you see it\'s deeper than cake. Claire and her staff have put littletouches everywhere, and they are so thoughtful about the items they sell. Each and every staff member I\'ve interacted with hasbeen patient with my dogged questions about cake, and they\'ve been personable and kind and human every time.\n\nThank you,FVCS. Many well wishes and returns your way. Read more

If you have not indulged in their home made carrot cake, cinnamon/raisen bread, cookies or for that matter just about anything... they bake and offer, - you are missing out on a treat! Even if I do not Really need anything, I always come up with a reason tostop by and purchase something and inquire about their baked goods and locally made cards. The latter are a big hit with mystuck in the city friends. Read more

Decent selection of items. With the exception of the deli and the milk/eggs cooler there are no prices listed. Friendliness of... staff is very hit or miss and the prices are absolutely outrageous on.... everything. The price always seems to change dependingon which person is ringing you up. Certain employees type the items in and others scan them. I have been there plenty of timesand have bought the same items with a different total each time. I try to support local businesses but today will be the lasttime I go there. Do yourself a favor and head back into town where there is a target and Walmart etc. Read more

We stayed at Pine Cone Cabin in Fort Valley for a few days and stopped in here 3 or 4 times. Friendly enough and prices are ok.... While we found the prices a little high on some items, you\'d have to drive 20 minutes or so to wind up spending more so wecan\'t complain. We\'ll be back to the area for a visit and we\'ll be back here, no doubt. Read more
