Went to Chapalas for karaoke this past Sunday, I love Corinne and her karaoke shows. But the service here at this restaurant is... lacking so much that I will NOT be back. I waited by the door for what felt like ages while workers were playing on theirphones, so opted to sit at the bar. I was not aware that the bar area does not have a bartender so it took me a very very longtime to get a drink. I wanted to get an appetizer but the guy didn't come back to check on me until almost an hour later. Thephone rang n rang but no one seemed to care. Worst restaurant experience in the area. First place we stop by to try in our family vacation to Destin. What a welcome did we get. The food was ok, the waitress took... too long to check on us for refills and chips. They kept skipping our order and we waited for 1hr and half to get our food, nojoke, thats how long it took when the restaurant was only 40% filled with customers and plenty of staff walking around. But wedid get $15 off our ticket for the hour and half delay, which it wasn?t worth the wait. We got better and faster service nextdoor to them at Taco Bell the next day. Read more

We visited here a year ago and had a great meal and experience. This year not so much. Food was extremely overcooked. The steak... in the burritos and fajitas was burnt. The server forgot to put our order in for an appetizer. He also forgot to bring oursecond margarita. The place was mostly empty but he spent most of his time talking to another female employee instead of tendingto his tables. It took us well over an hour to even get our food. Me and my family got seated and noticed that the restaurant was almost completely empty, it was just my family and another... family and that was it. We then waited nearly 15 minutes for our waitress to attend us, and then waited another 35 to 40 minutesfor our food to be served. Good food. Fast service. One of the best chili rellenos in town. I had the cheese dip (very good) shredded chicken... quesadilla(little small but also very good) chili rellenos(so good!) burrito supreme w/rice & beans. It was all very good andcame out quickly. First time here, food was better than expected. We tried a molcajete and tacos de birria the first time, both we?re good the... only thing that was missing was fresh tortillas.
