Got the Italian beef sandwich and fries yesterday, the fries are awesome, salty and seasoned to perfection, a little soggy but... they were so good it didn't matter. The Italian beef sandwich was off the chain ? so much flavor and the roll was fresh andsoft. I'm a local and really appreciate the authentic flavor of Chicago! This area needs more places like this! Was craving a hot dog, a chili dog to be exact. Saw the reviews of these place so gave it a try. Very cool hot dog shop and... owner was very polite and kept the place clean. Ordered a Chicago Style Dog and a Chili Dog. Reasonably priced at $5.00 eachthat comes with fries. Received order in a brown lunch bag style bag. Got to truck and opened up to try to eat on the go? not agood idea as the hot dog and fries are all rolled up in the same liner paper so the chili from the hot dog was all over thefries and bun. So not a good idea to order a chili dog to go and try to eat as you drive. The chili on the hotdog reminded meof Hormel Chili in the can and not the type chili I was expecting. Once I got home I unwrapped the Chicago Style hotdog up andit was better wrapped up to hold all the ?fixings? in place. Had a great taste so I would order this one again. The fries are alittle soggy to my liking- not one fry was crispy so I wouldn?t order fries next time unless you can ask for them to be cookedmore. That?s just my preference and opinion as I try to leave a review of ?my? experience. So I would try this place again onlyif I were to stop and eat at one of their outdoor table and chairs and not take home or try to eat on the run. Read more
