So much charm and sincere love for food and art in this little cafe. Cute covered balcony room, main dining room, and a few... bakery-side tables. We came around 1:30pm on a Monday and it was busy but not crowded. By 2pm it was very quiet and relaxing.Beautiful paintings on the walls. Fantastic, diverse, and asian-influenced classic American brunch menu available all day. Greatspecials too. Read more

It was a nice spot for brunch. Service could have been better, maybe we came in a wrong day and had a bad waiter. Ordered... pumpkin pancakes with fruits bowl on the side, notified the waiter of the missing fruits, finally it came out when I almostfinished the meal, not only he did not apologize for it but when he brought it out, placed it on the table and left with anattitude. No smiles whatsoever the whole time, maybe he had a bad day? Maybe he?s the owner/manager that doesn?t care? The restof the staff were nice. Leaving 3 stars because of this experience that ruined our mood for brunch. Read more

Had a break between baseball games at Skip Wilson Field so we decided to try Zakes based on proximity and Google reviews. I... called ahead and even on a Sunday midmorning they were able to seat us right away. The restaurant is in a converted stone houseso there is a unique charm to the surroundings. We were seated on the enclosed porch which was nice, I prefer to eat outside butthis was fine. After sitting for a few minutes our drink order was taken then shortly after our waitress took our order. Theirmenu is what you expect for a breakfast and lunch place. There were at least a half dozen items I would have liked to try butsettled on the honey and lemon pancakes with raspberries. WOW these were good! Not only were they good but it was just a fewminutes after ordering that the food came out. The staff was very friendly and attentive to the customers. Prices werereasonable for what you got, I look forward to eating there again. Additionally, they use paper straws not plastic, THANK YOU! Read more

I loved my meal here, poached eggs with crab cakes. We had excellent and friendly service and the pastries are delicious... too. I?ll be going back to try other items on the menu. As a heads up, during Covid, the place keeps breakfast and lunch hoursfrom about 7:30a to 3:00p or 3:30p. Read more

Awesome vibe, humble and down to earth owner. The food was amazing. I had the avocado eggs Benedict and it was a fun twist on a... classic. The eggs themselves were art and the flavors of the dish let you know each individual part was there, but blened welland didn't clash. Best eggs Benedict I've had yet! Read more
