I think we caught them on a bad day. In a nutshell we ordered a burger medium and without cheese. Simple enough. It came out... with cheese. Apologies and all and they take the plate back. In what seemed like way to long out comes the plate. Thereplacement burger looks well done which was confirmed when cutting it. Upon closer inspection it seems they took the cheeseburger and scraped off the cheese, burnt it, and put it upside down on a new bun. Not cool. At all. The manager was checking inand we explained what happened. She quickly had it remade and removed it from the bill. A good save. But it seems the kitchencould use a chat with the manager. This place is great. Let's start with the atmosphere. Dark interior with lighting placed perfectly so that way you can see your... food and the people at your table but dark enough where it is easy to ignore the rest of the restaurant. It makes it feelprivate. The wait staff is fantastic. SO professional and patient and kind. The food..... ???????????? I took a bite ofeveryone's dish at my table. All four plates were very different and amazing! I got the crab cakes and they were phenomenal. Iwould highly recommend doing a reservation. Read more
Came here on a whim and my husband and I were not disappointed! The place was beautiful and clean. We sat on the outdoor patio... and it was also beautiful. Our server was amazing and sweet. Our food was to die for! If i could give this restaurant more then5 stars I would! 10 out of 10 recommend! We ordered the bang bang shrimp and the spinach and artichoke dip for our appetizers.For our entrees we both ordered the filet and shrimp pasta. Read more
Sunday brunch is amazing, but strongly suggest you make reservations. The Berry Belgian waffles are a party in your mouth and... will make your eyes roll back in your head and involuntarily make yummy sounds. Did I mention the heavenly melt in your mouthhomemade side of whipped cream? Our group was in Ft.Wayne for a convention and discovered the Black Canyon Restaurant. A truly fantastic experience. Our... server Raven was fast, friendly, and enhanced our dining experience. Alex, the manager also came over to our table when hediscovered we were from Nashville. We had a very pleasant chat when he checked in on us to make sure everything was great. 100% recommend coming here. Whether its for a date or just a fun night out, you cannot go wrong. The food was consistently... amazing and never failed to be delicious. Went here for an early New Year's Eve dinner with two other couples. The restaurant is nice and good was good for the most part... but service could have been better. Food: My steak was cooked perfectly and very tender. My wife's was under and had to be sentback. Got some brussel sprouts which were ok, but had waaaay too many onions in them. Mo onions than anything else. Service:Our server was fine but never asked if I wanted another drink or refill on water. We also had to ask for bread, they don't justgive it to you... Annoying. The worst was the timing of the food. Got an appetizer and the salads came out immediately after,then the main dishes were out 2 minutes after that. Overall we felt rushed.
