I was entertaining a friend from Europe who has never been to Indiana let alone Cracker Barrel. The service at our table was... great and he loved the food (Breakfast). The visit went downhill at the cashier station. I handed the lady a $50 and informedher that I needed change for the 50 (For the tip). She then gave me change from the total bill for the food. I explained that myintention was to pay the bill with my credit card. She said, "Sorry I can't refund you any money, once we enter something itcan't be changed". I asked for the Mgr and he repeated what she said. I have always thought that customer service was a strongstaple at Cracker Barrel, I have been proven wrong........ She made a mistake and they both said it can not be corrected andthey blamed it on the cash register system. Which apparently doesn't allow for mistakes. Not going back to this place everagain! I love going to this Cracker Barrel location. I eat alone on weekends and somehow I always crave breakfast for dinner on... Sunday?s. This Cracker Barrel is close to where I live so it?s convenient. The food is delicious (best pancakes ever!) and theservice is always polite and friendly. I like to read or work on a writing project while I eat out, so it?s nice to order foodand not worry about anything else. Tonight when I came in, I noticed several tables hadn?t been cleared. I assumed they wereprobably short staffed and were doing the best they could. After I placed my order I saw what I assume was the manager (a tall,Black man who wasn?t wearing a normal server uniform) bussing tables himself. To me, that?s the sign of great management.Stepping in to help get the job done no matter how high up the chain of command you are. I worked at this Cracker Barrel whenthey first came to Fort Wayne and it?s nice to see they are still providing exceptional service. Though I still can?t walk bythat big round table at the dining room entrance without remembering the night I volunteered to keep the building secure onChristmas Eve. Alone. It was kind of scary. ???? Service was good but didn't get exactly what I ordered. I wanted bacon put on top of my chicken but they put ham on it lol. It... was still good but not what I wanted. Waitress was good. Price was good. But management followed us around the store like wewere stealing, that was an insult but whatever I guess. I'd definitely eat at cracker barrel again but at a different location. We really liked the cheesecake stuffed pancake and other usual American farm breakfast dishes. Pancakes were great, especially... blueberry pancake was very fresh and delicious. I ordered french toast and with my experieince with French cuisine in Quebec. Itwas subpar. The restaurant was full of people and busy. The food came out after about 45 min or so. Staffs were nice and keptrefilling my coffee while waiting. There are very selective menu I would recommend. Read more

This was our second time here in the past few months. Both times were a disappointment. Food was fine, but the wait time was... crazy. The first time, we sat for nearly 30 minutes before we even ordered. It was another 30 to get our food. This second timewas similar. We were able to order fairly quickly, but it was 50 minutes before our food came to the table. Both times I waswishing we had gone somewhere else. Next time we will. Read more

Great food and great service! My wife and I love going here!! Such a good atmosphere!! It doesn?t take long to get out food!!

My husband loves this place. It's very country-esk. They serve alot of their breakfast meals with "the fixins" which include... biscuits and gravy and grits" the only place I know to get grits. I get the breakfast casserole, which is the cheesy hashbrownswith eggs and bacon on top with onion straws (pic below) overall not bad, we come right at 7 in the a.m. and our food is infront of us in less than 6 min.
