You can go inside and eat. I do miss how it used to be before COVID hit. But the food is still good. The service could be better... (she missed a couple of items) bit in all it was good. I do think the touch screen kiosk to order is pretty neat. Read more
This location is always having trouble. If it's not one thing it's another. I have waited 30 minutes in the drive through at the... voice box before I went inside to tell at them for not taking my order. I've also had problems with them not mixing shakeproperly. The top half has everything while the bottom half is just vanilla. This includes syrup shakes. Fries are often cold orsoggy. Food tastes fine. Read more
I love Steak and Shake, I have since I was a kid, so this review will be a little biased. Picked up dinner late. Went through... the drive through which is tight for trucks. Big bold menu shows meals. I got the Frisco melt, Fries, coke and a double garlicburger. The attendant was friendly enough and very professional. Food was done quickly and very hot. Thr Frisco melt was one ofthe better ones I've had in a while, the shoestring fries are an absolute staple and I always adore them, and the garlic doublewas perfectly seasoned, a little greasy extra though. Great food, decent price at $16 for a meal and an extra sandwich. Read more
I am very pleasantly surprised how great of an experience I had while dining in here. They have changed things a little bit as... it's not like a normal restaurant anymore. You walk in and you have to place your order on a tablet/kiosk thing but theemployees are there to help you if you get confused. You are able to dine in and they will bring the food out to you! The foodwas very delicious and fresh! The employees were some of the kindest people I've ever met! We brought my baby with us and 2 ofthe employees brought out a little container of cake for him to have ! I will definitely be back and look forward to seeingeveryone again! Read more
Can't comment on dining in, however my experience at the drive thru has been great. The food is exactly how I ordered it, the... burgers, shakes and fries are very well made and taste better than any other fast food in Fort Wayne. After my wife and Ifinished lunch today, I went into the restaurant and told them what a good job they were doing and how much we liked the food. Read more
I really love Steak'n Shake, but... Since the pandemic, the experience has changed. Before, it was like enjoying a hometown... diner. Affordable and great tasting food served on plates, with a friendly smile of your server. Now, they finally opened thedining area inside, and it looks the same, but the experience is very different. The great tasting food is the same, but nowserved in baskets. The servers are gone and you place your orders at a kiosk. I will not let this stop me from returning forthe food, but it has lost part of what I enjoyed about going there, the total experience. Read more
Very rude and disrespectful manager. Yesterday I went through the drive thru at this location and ordered a garlic steak burger.... I sadly forgot to check my order until I was already home which was about 25 minutes away and I was given the wrong order. Itried calling to let them know of the mix up but the number listed online said it was disconnected. So today while I was outdoing errands, I decided to stop by on my way home and get what I had actually ordered. I told the manager what had happened andshowed him the two receipts that I had. One receipt showed what I had ordered from drive thru and the other receipt showed theitem that was actually in the bag. To me it looked like a carry out order was just given to me through drive thru insteadbecause they had the same times at the top of the receipt down to the minute. The manager then called me a liar and said thereis no way that kind of receipt could have made it into the bottom of the bag because it was a carry out receipt. I told him thatI wasn?t sure what happened but assured him that I just did not get the right burger. The manager again told me that I was aliar and then proceeded to say that ?next time you want free food, make sure you have the correct receipt.? Honestly, I wouldnot have been upset if he would have just told me no. The rest was just unnecessary to say and the fact that he accused me ofbeing a liar was just uncalled for.
