Large clean facility. Very busy. Bathrooms also large and clean. Coffee included with many breakfast items. My wife and I both... enjoyed our meal. (coffee included) Very good grits. Syrup seemed to be very very sweet. Storm last evening - no guest WiFi, nocredit cards / cash only. Staff friendly & cordial. Most recent menus included. Ordered the meat lovers skillet, it smelled bad, I'm not sure what. Tasted bad, like spoiled something... sweet rotten meat or... potatoes maybe. Not like anything I've gotten there, usually really good. Maybe that's why it was the special today. Two bitesand I threw it away. I hope I don't get sick. The food quality was bland. Most of the staff was just standing around. The prices were also very high. With tip it was over $44... for breakfast for two people. There are definitely better breakfast experiences out there. Read more
The new restaurant where The Chrome Plated diner was located ... and I wished they'd bring the former back. Much better eggs... benedict at CPD. The benedict I had here had split sauce with no taste, the eggs were way overdone, the muffin was not preparedwell and tasteless as a muffin could be, and the fruit, again (like many places) was just primarily cantaloupe. It was like Ijust drank water and not had food. I asked my wife about her dish and it was bordering on cold, but not great stuff. Servicewas good and she was on, but the kitchen could use a redo. We got there just before crowds. Friday all you can eat fish. What I received for $12.99 was 2 pcs of fish and baked potato.... That's it, the other side (green beans) never came and neither did any additional fish. Won't be going back. Just because it's abusy night doesn't mean you can't serve your customers Read more
A really pleasant lunch experience. The food was very good, piping hot and exactly as ordered. The waitress was extremely... friendly and attentive. The diner was updated and very clean. I will definitely be back to try some of their other optionsrather than the breakfast I had for lunch. p.s. The breakfast did come with toast, but I'm gluten free so they offered meseveral options other than bread. Read more
Willie's Family Restaurant was delicious. My skillet made it to the table 5 minutes after I put in my order. The eggs were... cooked perfectly! I asked for my potatoes crispy and there was crunch on every bite. I thoroughly enjoyed the addition of onionsto the potatoes and the trio of bacon, ham, and sausage was very nice. I think what sets this skillet apart from otherrestaurants is that they use ground breakfast sausage. The interior decorations look like they haven't been changed in a coupledecades but you know what they say "If It Ain't Broke". As long as the kitchen keeps producing delicious breakfast, I'll keepcoming back. Read more
We ordered the "All you can eat" fish today at 4:30. I knew it was a mistake when our meals came within 4 minutes. The fish and... fries were both old. Neither were hot and fresh. We did have to wait on our hush puppies. When they came they were hot, freshand flavorful. When they brought us more fish it was hot and fresh but like the first batch it lacked any kind of flavor. It wasa disappointing meal. Dawn was our server and service was excellent. At the end of our meal I told her about the first fishbeing old and she apologized for that. Read more
