This place just gave me the most stale bread I have ever had at a sandwich shop.
I just realized I reviewed this place 7 years ago. This establishment is the model of excellence and consistency. Every sandwich... I've ever eaten here has been delicious. I think I've eaten my way through about 2/3 of the menu. Their breads are delicious.The meats are cut fresh while you watch. They have some vegetable options that you'll rarely find at other places, like sprouts,mushrooms, three different kinds of peppers, etc. The chicken salad is a particular favorite of mine now. I don't like chickensalad that has a lot of fruit or other sweetness to it. The chicken salad that they make here at the Great Outdoorsman is mildlysavory and contains no fruit that I can find, so no sweet taste. It is extraordinarily delicious. Oh jeez, I almost forgot thechicken poblano soup. IT'S STUPENDOUS! My old review from 7 years ago. Every word still true. ---------------------- A greatsandwich shop. The outdoorsman is delicious. They have sprouts! All sub's can be ordered hot or cold. Great prices. Staff isexcellent. I have no criticisms. It's an all-time favorite of mine. Read more
I wish I had pictures to share but the food was devoured! Wanted to try a new sub sandwich place and they did not disappoint. Nice sandwich shop! Everything is carved and made to order. Friendly staff makes the experience even better. Wish it wasn't so... much for just a sandwich but it is good quality and fast service. Get about an 8-in sub for $10 give or take. Veggies are thinlysliced which is nice. Plenty of indoor seating. Roast beef was really good! Read more

Not to bad, my first time going(April 23rd) to the place and the staff was friendly and helpful. I liked the option to be able... to order extra meat but I didn't choose to as I wanted to see what it was like for the first time. My sub didn't look anythinglike the pictures I've seen on here. The bread was flat! Overall it was very tasty and had the right amount of meat. Isometimes like to take a roast beef sandwich home to have later on as a French dip, I usually like more meat so that's where Iliked the option. Since my bread was flat, I declined to get another sandwich to go. I definitely would come back if I'm inthe area again. Read more
