Decent Mexican. I keep going back and forth on 3 or 4. I wouldn?t try to impress anyone here, but this is a safe choice. Guac... is good, but the portion is tiny. They don?t do it tableside, but it?s fresh and tasty. The queso blanco was lumpy for somereason, tasted ok. Chips and salsa are on average. Nachos are individually layered rather than a pile which is my preferredsetup. They come with a good portion of meat as well. Poblano sauce was solid on enchiladas, but looks like you can also get iton tamales. Chicken in the enchiladas was dry, but the sauce makes up for it. Weird that you only get 2 enchiladas on a plate,they weren?t like super full of meat or anything. Really I had a bite or 2 with just tortilla. I?d come back, but I mightconsider other options first. I read a bunch of reviews on this place and I was very excited to try it and I must admit, it was very underwhelming. I could... tell as soon as I walked in that I was not going to enjoy the food. Let me start by saying our waiter was great. We had a greatexperience from the staff. But here is where things went downhill. The drinks were not strong at all. Ordered shots and honestlycouldn't tell if it was alcohol in them or not. The amaretto sour was all sour mix. Then the food. Every thing seemed to be halfportions. A bowl of queso was half the bowl. I don't usually write reviews on places where i eat but I have to write one for this restaurant. The place has nice and cozy... ambience and atmosphere. There are plenty of tables both indoors and outdoors. The food (Chip and Salsa, Ceviche de camarones,Cocina Changa, Fajitas) was surprisingly delicious. The margarita and the Flan are the best ones that I have ever had. Thedining experience was amazing at this place and I will definitely come back to try other dishes on the menu. Read more
the food was amazing, i had the poblano chicken enchiladas and they were so good. the chicken was a bit dry but the sauce made... up for it. the nachos OMG i literally loved them they were fresh and warm and so so good. however, the music was playing reallyloud so it was hard to hear the person who was sitting right next to me, and my waitress was a bit strange but other than thatit was great! Mi Cocina was perfecto Sweetest waiter who shared a heart warming story about his grandmother making tortillas with us. This was... such an amazing dining experience with a great ambiance. This will probably be a reoccurring dining spot. Read more
Stopped in for lunch, it was busy, but we were seated right away! Nice, but typical dining interior with a cool little bar to... sip and eat if necessary. The Cuben music being piped in just added to the vibe. Our food was served promptly... hot, and theflavors were wonderful... and not overpowered with spice and heat! You could actually taste the fresh ingredients. I asked forcoffee, they quickly brewed me a fresh cup...and it was very good. This surprised me for some reason. Best part...it wentabsolutely perfect with my flan for dessert! Yes flan... I scored, and got the last one available for the day! Ventured out with family and friends to visit the Fort Worth Botanic Gardens. Afterwards we decided to go downtown for lunch.... We decided on Mi Cocina. I hadn't eaten Mexican Food in well over year. Started off with chips & salsa, quite yummy. I orderedthe lunch plate of two enchiladas with rice and beans while the others ordered two tamales with rice and beans with a side ofguacamole. Thumbs up ???? on the food.....quite tasty.
