This was my second visit to this saltgrass location and I am convinced that whoever is in the back cooking just is not seasoning... food well. The location in the Dallas area is far superior when it comes to the quality of food products place beforepatrons. Initially I ordered the salmon which was supposed to be 5 oz but I believe it must have been 5 oz Frozen because whatwas served there's no way that was a cooked 5 oz. as advertised. So, I opted for the chicken fried steak which was decent butnowhere as good as the Tyler Texas location. Even our Rattlers were different than I have previously enjoyed in Dallas. Theshrimp extended throughout the whole piece of jalapeno pepper and with each bite we were able to enjoy shrimp jalapeno andcheese but at this location the shrimp that are being used are considerably smaller and don't pack the punch that wasexpected. The reason I fell in love with Saltgrass Steak House was because of the chicken fried steak ( and my husband loved thesteak)that I had in Tyler. The meat was marinated and seasoned to perfection and also the batter or crust of the chicken friedsteak was also seasoned. It was not overly salty just the perfect combination. So that is why I have tried this restaurant twiceto see if they were just having an off day the first time we went. I had a gift card and completely forgot about using itbecause I was disappointed that the chicken fried steak wasn't as good as in East Texas. I don't think I'll give up on thisrestaurant chain just yet but I believe I'll just go to another location the next time Saltgrass is what anyone wants. Read more

Saltgrass is one of our favorite restaurants near home, that being said, your visit will be considerably better if you have an... experienced server compared to some of the newer employees. John Q always takes care of us and goes out of his way to rememberour order no matter how long it has been since we have seen him last. There was a long stretch during peak Covid where we hadnot dined in for a little over a year, when we returned he was the first to greet us. The patio is the best seating option onwindy evenings during the summer, enjoy! Read more

We went to saltgrass for dinner and we're looking forward to a wonderful meal but I was rather disappointed. For our appetizers... we ordered the Rattlers because I had had them at another location previously. It seems like they skimped on the shrimp becausethe last time I had this appetizer every bite had a mouthful of shrimp whereas this one had loads of cheese and very littleshrimp. For my meal,I ordered the redfish with lemon butter sauce topped with shrimp and crawfish. It looked delectable but whenI bit into it, the blandest thing I've eaten out at a restaurant in a very, very, very long time. Chain restaurants are supposedto have quality control and taste identical from location to location but that is not what happened in our experience.Myhusband's steak was a good size but was not seasoned either. If one goes to restaurant and spends nearly a $100 you would expectthe food to be exemplary but this location of saltgrass was a disappointment! Read more

This is a great place, first time to dine here and what a wonderful experience, first off they have a super gluten sensitive... menu with many different selections including appetizers and ice cream for dessert. I had a Pat's Ribeye it was cooked perfectlyas well as the seasoning, Garlic mash were good, Broccoli was steamed perfectly. I also had an appetizer, the Jalapeños stuffed with shrimp, pretty spicy warm but full of flavor, yum. The service was outstanding as we were there for dinner and itwas plenty busy. Looking forward to my next time eating here. Read more

Server was sweet, but it took forever to even take our order. I understand people may be busy.. but it doesn't hurt to maybe... tell us "hey sorry for the wait" or something. The food was pretty darn good when we did get it.. the cheese fries are bomb! Ihad the chicken fried chicken and mashed potatoes, mom had fried shrimp and taters, and the granddaughter had her very ownpizza. The cake is carrot cake, which was good, but could've done without the raisins lol Read more
