We rented 5 out of the 12 rooms as a family weekend, it was our last time there. The place looks great and the restaurant food... is good, but it felt like we couldn't do anything. There is a huge lack of information on their website. I would rent therestaurant 4/5 if it was apart from the rest. First of all, you can't make noise at all, even in your room, because someonewill come to tell you to keep quiet (we don't even talk that loud, there just is no isolation whatsoever.) Secondly you can'treally drink and eat your stuff around the place because there is an expensive restaurant about one meter away from the shackand they don't want to see you nearby with your stuff (restaurant should be further away of the rooms, it's not wellthought). Also, the pool and common areas are near the restaurant so some people don't want to use them. (The pool for instanceis really close from the restaurant and closes early, not really fun to go there..) Lastly, it felt like the owner was alwayslooking at what we were doing.. It's terrible when you pay about 2500$ for a family weekend, just to fell like you're beingwatched constantly. I would recommend the restaurant, but sadly I'd suggest agains't renting a room. This place is full of contradictions that somehow fit together really well. Breakfast is simple and yet so complex with all this... home made flavours. The room was small but very nice. Bed was comfortable. We enjoyed the hiking trail which went around the pond and spent 2 hours... at the pool. Very relaxing!! We had one dinner and 2 breakfasts which were all delicious! Read more

We stayed at Domaine Jolivent for two nights in September and had an incredible experience. Because it was quiet mid-week, the... innkeeper made us feel welcome by building a fire and serving us wine at night. In the mornings, we enjoyed a lovely breakfaston the porch. The rooms were comfortable, and we were pleasantly surprised by the extensive circuit of trails on the property.Though we weren't able to take advantage of their restaurants having visited during the week, the hospitality and environmentwell made up for it! More like a motel then a bucolic B&B. Our room had nothing special, the bathroom was below average and the breakfast was also... average. They have a central air conditioning with venting traps in each room that's very hard to adjust. It's very cold orcold. We had to turn on the heat to feel comfortable. Read more
Overall: Really enjoyable place to stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The ambiance was very peaceful and relaxing.... Room was cozy. Don't forget to checkout the trails they have behind the logging! They have calming music playing as you walkaround. The restaurant is quite tasty as well. Definitely a must stay. Key Point: This bed and breakfast does not have freebreakfast. You must pay for it. It is not included. Other points: The dinner there was quite tasty. Recommend the beef (coulduse bigger portion sizes however, but still very good!) 1 Critic: When calling up to book an extra night to stay, was notinformed of a price increase and was surprised by the extra $60 charged.
