I went to the fox lake location. They did not have Italian beef. That's why I went. I got a pastrami sandwich instead and it was... a joke. Micro portion of meat. And although there was a cash register on the sandwich counter,I was told to pay at the gasstation counter. It was tied up with a couple that took forever to check out because they kept leaving the counter to get moresnacks as I stood there with my mini sandwich. It really was an amateur production. I found this place about 4-years ago after reading about its location. I had lived here 6-years and didn't realize it was there.... I couldn't figure out where it was at first then discovered the franchise inside the Mobil gas station along with a KrispyChicken franchise. I lived in Chicago as a kid and went to the original location there and this brought back those childhoodmemories. I like the tuna and turkey the best. The chicken tenders with fries are very good as well and a nice change to have atone location. There is no comparison with Mr. Submarine and the other mass market sub company! Read more

Closest thing to Chicago subs that I've found out here in Lake County thus far. Quick place to drop in for a sub or quick bite.... Hours are currently listed wrong on Google. This place closes at 8PM everyday - not 9PM as stated. Quality of food reallydepends on who is serving/cooking. Read more
Went there yesterday with my husband and sandwiches were delicious. He got the crab salad and I had hot roast beef. We use to... get this in Chicago were we grew up so its awesome to know their is one in Lake County with the same great taste! Read more
Every single time we order delivery, there's no mayo on the sandwiches, even if I make a note. Mr. Sub's special mayo is the... best part.... Not sure why this is a recurring issue. Read more
