I don't get to see my parents as much as I used to due to distance, and the staff at Jose's made our lunch memorable and special... for celebrating my mom's birthday. Our waitress was so nice and happened to find out about her birthday when we were finishingup our fantastic 1/2 gallon mango margarita (highly recommended!). She quickly went in back and reappeared with 2 more staffmembers with maracas, complete with a dessert (which my mom said was delicious!) and sombrero! They sang Happy Birthday to herand she got to blow out her birthday candle. It really did put a smile on all of our faces! We all really enjoyed our meals--Ihad the portabella and steak quesadilla. The steak was flavorful, and they used fresh mushrooms! The beans were the best refriedbeans I've ever had, which says a lot because I normally don't give them much thought. I wasn't sure what to expect based onsome of the negative reviews, but they far exceeded my expectations! With all of the awful things going on in the world andinflux of rude people, I cannot tell you how much I appreciated the kindness shown by Jose's staff and our waitress for goingabove and beyond. One of my favorite joints since moving last year. We used their catering services for a backyard wedding reception. Blue... Sombrero outdid themselves. Very kind staff, quick set up and take down, and outstanding food! We had so many guests complimentthe food. We really appreciated the great communication during the months of planning. Definitely recommend both the restaurantand catering services! Very flexible with what we wanted. This was my first time at Jose? Blue Sombrero. We went to celebrate my friend?s birthday. First - the chips and salsa are... amazing. I mean - really AMAZING! Try the extra hot salsa . . . I?m talking mouth on fire! Super good tho?! I had a soft tacoand my friend got a burger. Both were good. We ordered a $18 margarita. OMG-HUGE!!!!! We were not expecting it, but drunk theentire thing. It was a nice time. They also gave my friend a delicious dessert. The only thing is our waitress wasn?t veryattentive, but oh well - nothing is perfect. Happy hour margs and snack deals are the best! Also suggest the half gallon marg - 18 dollars and equals like 4 margaritas I... think. Really nice and attentive bartenders. Nice outdoor seating in the summer. I?ve gone there many times and never had anissue or complaint! Read more
