I wanted a nice cake for my Dads 80th birthday. I told my mom to find a ?good cake? for Dad and not some supermarket cake so she... got one at Dulce D Leche. It was the WORST cake we have ever had. I visited Dulce in Framingham for the first time today, excited about a great coffee and pastry for breakfast. We ordered 2... cappuccinos, 1 plain and 1 chocolate croissant, and a slice of cinnamon pound cake. Coffee was good (nothing to write homeabout), but most importantly, the croissants were awful!!! I'll admit, I visited because of the great reviews which were mostlyabout the gelato and cakes, so maybe I went with the wrong expectation. But the food was old, stale, and just terrible. Verynice lady at the counter was kind enough to comp us 2 more coffees accordingly, but I felt the need to write this so no one elsegets duped into going here thinking that they serve quality breakfast pastries, based on the other great reviews. We finally got some time to come by and visit this place yesterday. The guy was very friendly and informative about the yummy... products he is selling. They actually make their own ice cream, smoothies, and chocolates with their own brand. What they haveyou wouldn't find them anywhere else. I got the Green Smoothie and a piece of chocolate and caramel with nuts. That was puredelicious. Will come back here again!!! Read more
This is by far the best gelato in MA. I took dark chocolate and mango and oh my, it?s way above our expectation. Lots of options... to choose from. Tastes really good. Also, the guy is very friendly, who is the owner we guessed! There was photos of a ladyposted in the store who passed away less than a month back when we visited. We guessed it could be his wife or relative! Wereally wanted to ask the friendly guy but as it was crowded we didn?t. If he reads this message, we would like to say we arevery sorry to see his loss! We loved his friendly and humble behavior which will make us visit the store many more times tocome. Read more
