A hidden gem. An amazingly delicious dive into smoked meats and bbq. The pit boss knows what they are doing. And I wonder if... they bottle their own BBQ sauce as its near perfect with spices and heat. Its delicious!!! Price is reasonable considering theinflation we are under. I tell everyone I know this is the place for fantastic BBQ. It's a little father son shop. Independent. I love it. The type of restaurants and smoke houses you dont find much anymore. I?ve been meaning to give this place a review but have been busy. But I ate here about 2 weeks ago and I ordered the rib tips... and fries. Those rib tips were so good. The meat just fell off the bone and I was able to pull it away from all the fat. Theywere full of flavor and honestly now one of my favorite rib spots that I?ve eaten from in the Chicago area. Today I visited the Bear Down Restaurant in Frankfort, IL for the first time and honestly have to say this is hands-down the... best tasting and prepared ribs that I have ever tasted before in my life!!! I have never been disappointed with this place! The rins are always smoked to perfection, super tender,moist & well seasoned. I... prefer to get my bbq sauce on the side because the dry rub on the ribs is good all by itself. I never mind the drive to get to apound of Bear Down ribs!!! Read more
