I gotta say, this has to be one of the most versatile eating establishments around, it?s like the Swiss Army knife of... restaurants. You can get fast food, you can get healthy food, you can get classy food, there?s really a broad selection here.The burgers are to die for, the avocado chicken bowl is also a huge favorite, we really like this place, turned into our ?go to?when all else fails or we can?t make a decision. I ordered a salad that was supposed to be only spinach. Instead it had a few spinach leaves and the rest was other lettuce... greens. And a dead winged-bug sitting right on top. This is my first Buona Beef experience and I?m glad I took the risk! It?s my opinion that the Italian beef sandwiches here are... superb. The meat is well seasoned and the au jus is just ????????. The fries were served to us well done and perfectly crispywithout us even having to ask for it. Be sure to get your sandwich ?baptized? for the full Italian beef effect. Baptized isbasically the equivalent of dunked anywhere else. If we?re using Portillo?s as the baseline for an acceptable Italian beef thenthis sandwich would rate quite a bit higher than Portillo?s in my personal opinion. Although there are some small non chainspots in Chicago that still have a better beef. What got me going is that you can order one of illinois? staple foods here.?Gravy bread? with is basically bread soaked in au jus. I?m going to order it some day.
