Not bad but overpriced. I had the Cavaletti Bolognese. It tasted like Chef Boy-ar-dee, but my wife had a Bucatini Carbonara that... was good. Read more

Food was amazing as was the service by Lori. We give grace for things being a little slow on a Friday night because of the... current challenges faced by restaurants. That being said, once the order was taken, our salads arrived promptly. Those areworth the visit alone! We chose pork tenderloin with risotto as our entree. Very flavorful. Only taking away one star forpricy glasses of average wine. We just didn’t order any. Food at surrounding tables looked awesome. THANK YOU for includingbread and white bean dip with our entrees! I would rate this place somewhere between 3.35 to 3.75 STARS. PROS: -AWESOME LOCATION (all the shops in Frankfort MI are in a... strip and are ALL awesome locations). -First time visiting the city of Frankfort, MI and LOVED IT, their downtown has a ton ofshops in a row and along the water so beautiful views. -Free parking in front, great Job city of Frankfort! -After dining Ihighly recommend driving all the way down to the end of the road until you hit the beach, park and ENJOY, its stunninglybeautiful! - Restaurant is nice and qwaint, its has good vibes when you walk in. Back of the restaurant faces thewater. CONS: - Pricing is OK, a little high but to be expected during COVID times. - Server was knowledgeable but not overlypolite (kind of felt like the server was a bit in different, very possible I may have asked too many questions and maybe theperson had a lot on their mind, but was NOT perfect service by any means and like I always say the food tastes a lot better withgreat service). (We ordered a lot so that was not the issue here, not really sure the reason for the attitude under thesurface). - Food was OK, better then a lot of Italian restaurants I have been to but not close to the best. Did not have a standout dish in my opinion. Conclusion: I LOVE the city of Frankfort MI, would I go back: Sure, I'll give them the benefit of thedoubt and assume the server had a lot on their mind (server did have good knowledge). I would recommend trying this place and Ithink most people would like it and rate them around 4 stars, give it a try and form your own opinion. Read more

My experience eating: At "Vita Bella Italian Kitchen" in Frankfort Michigan was fantastic! Very friendly staff, tentative &... quick.... just downright holsom folks, The food was fantastic! For starters I felt like a regular patron although it was myfirst time being there. After I was seated the waitetress brought my water i had asked for and some very good rolls served withcheesy bean dip seasoned very well served hot. I was asked what I'd like to drink and I ordered an ice tea then asked for a fewmore minutes while I decided what I would like to eat. The waitress brought my iced tea and I was ready to order after she hadexplained the specials of the day I decided to go with the eggplant parmesan. She assured me that was a good choice and it turnsout she was right! The eggplant parm. Was delicious lightly breaded cook to a golden brown served with served with a side offresh pasta and a delicious marinar that tasted like it could have just been made from the fresh the garden, just very beautifulclean flavors. I'm definitely coming back. The meal was $22 rounded up that's a heck of a deal because I'm a big eater and hadleftovers I could only eat about half what I was served so whan in Frankfort Michigan you need to check the Vita Bella ItalianKitchen out you won't regret it!!! P.S. The Vita Bella Italian Kitchen has an extensive wine collection that guests are free topick from so if your a Wine lover maby you can find a new Favorite Wine ????????... Read more

After reading the restaurant story and about the dedication to fresh and homemade ingredients, I was so excited to try the... caprese salad and eggplant parmesan. I ordered to go around 9pm on a Saturday night. Upon opening the caprese salad, I couldn'tbelieve my eyes. It looked like someone else's leftovers. For $10 the box contained three slices of tomato (two slices hardtomato ends) and four small pieces of mozzarella cheese. My mistake was not checking the food before leaving. I also was lookingforward to eggplant parmesan because of the "homemade" pasta, but after the caprese salad I'm not sure the spaghetti is actuallyhomemade. Such a let down. Read more

A blustery, foggy day in Frankfort calls for the warm ambience of Vita Bela. We sat at the bar around 1 p.m. on a Saturday and... couldn't believe it wasn't packed. Immediate seating and a warm welcome followed by a tropical IPA started us off just right.Pair that with the crispy delight of the Fritto Misto and the spicy goodness of the Salsiccia pizza! A delightful way to spendan afternoon if you are in the Frankfort area! Read more

First, I recommend you make a reservation ahead of time. We didn't and luckily there was a tiny table for 2 available. The... bean dip that came with bread at the start of our dinner was very yummy! My husband ordered the risotto meal. It came hot andgood. It was just slightly creamy rice, not risotto, but still good. I ordered the ravioli and was shocked at a large platewith a few ravioli on it with a dab or marinara in the center. Definitely overcharged for that. The ravioli was barely warmand slightly undercooked. The ricotta filling was good, as was the marinara. It was too bad it wasn't hot. I am includingpics of the bean dip plate and our 2 dinners.
