Great service, very nice and clean inside, but food was disappointing.

Coffee is in the middle for me. I like supporting local shops. The decor is cool and it's a great place to escape to take a... break and grab something warm in the winter. Read more

I really want to like this place. Have given it several attempts, hoping it can be my go-to coffee shop (support local and all... that), but every visit something goes wrong. This time was bad service and bad coffee. I ordered a veggie sandwich and potatosalad only to find out the salad has bacon in it, thanks for letting me know. Also, I waited 20 min for my food, hands full withbaby, watched the only other customer have their food brought to their table just to discover my sandwich had been getting coldon the counter. Then the iced mocha literally had a blob of chocolate syrup at the bottom, had to throw most of it away. Forthese prices, I can get better elsewhere. 2 stars for good location and pleasant atmosphere. Read more

Fun little place with an integrated theme that fits right in with the town's name! Definitely a must-stop if you're passing... through. The inside isn't huge but they make excellent use of the space, and the outside seating is shaded and off the main drag(so not so much car or ped traffic and less noise). Both of the coffee items we got were delicious (I had a red eye and my wifegot a hazelnut latte); unfortunately we had already eaten breakfast so we didn't get to try any of the many breakfast or lunchoptions they have. The cups also have a corrugated heat dampener that works better than any other sleeves I've used. They alsohave a thing where you can get your plain coffee in a mug and have bottomless coffee if you need to stick sound to do some workor socialize. This place also seems kid and pet friendly. They have a box of children's books by the door and a water bowloutside. On top of all this, the interior was immaculate, so if you're a neat/clean freak you won't get the musty-dusty oldcoffee house vibes, here. The bottom line is if you love coffee and you're in Franklin, IL then you have to stop at Benjamin's.I'd give it 6 stars if I could! Read more

When I visit friends in Franklin I'm all about the Benjamin's. I wish they stayed open later. Only complaint... I think they... pull long shots instead of the standard short shots. You might want to specify short shots if you prefer full espresso flavor. Read more
