Husband and I ate at the restaurant last night. The service was the worse I have ever experienced. I had to ask for a menu and... the server seemed surprised I needed one. My husband's entree arrived first then about 10 minutes later my dinner came. Theappetizers came well into the meal. My food was super gross I couldn't eat it. Person taking orders on the phone was VERY difficult to understand...her Chinese accent was very prominent...so we had many... challenges trying to communicate, although she seemed to understand English far better than she could speak it. The food we gotwas very bland. Hubby had shrimp lo mein and I had vegetable fried rice. Found a piece of plastic in the fried rice which wasnot confidence inducing. Won ton soup was adequate but nothing special. The pork and shrimp egg rolls were pretty good. But thebest thing about this dining experience was the high entertainment factor of what I saw when I walked into the restaurant. Iswear I had stepped right into China when I walked through the door of that restaurant. The front counter is completely buttonedup in plastic from the top of the counter to the ceiling. There is a hinged plastic door cut into the plastic barrier which canonly be opened from the side of the employee, which they use to pass the bag of food through. At the other end of the counterthere is another opening cut into the plastic which is filled with a plastic shoe box type of container with a lid. The lid isscored in the middle so the customer can lift the lid, place this money in the box, then the employee on the other side of thebarrier can lift the other side of the lid and remove the money from the box. The whole arrangement was quite a sight. So Iwould say that for those of you who are still afraid of covid this is the place for you. If you are completely over thispandemic, as I am, then you should go there for the entertainment factor and see this elaborate barrier at the frontcounter. If, however, you care what your Chinese food tastes like, you can skip this place and you won't be missing out on anyculinary delights. Read more
I ordered the mongolian beef & my boyfriend ordered the bourbon chicken. This place has the WORST chinese food I've ever tried.... The meat was low quality & exremely processed. It smelled disgusting as soon as i opened the container. ???????? literallysmelled like rodent. The rice was even terrible!! We threw our food in the trash & ended up ordering somewhere else. dont givethis place your money. Long river is the only chinese place i will eat in Franklin. Read more
Pay attention to what you order and what they charge you for. Somehow $10 combo meal cost me nearly $20 , no drink no... dessert...hell they didn't even give me a fortune cookie. And I picked it up, not a door dash or even regular delivery. Foodalso tasted like it was cooked in a pan that had been used to make a previous order instead of a fresh clean pan. Placed a call in order and explain to the guy what I wanted, confirmed it, and gave me the price prior to hanging up. I pick up... my food and it?s wrong. I let the guy know before leaving and he refused to make the order right. We exchanged words and I left.I didn?t want my money to go to waste, so I tried what was prepared and it was disgusting. Only thing that was okay was the eggroll. I will never order from here again. Really ruined it for the whole chain, because I will not be supporting any of them. Read more
Today was my first day visiting this place, and I knew it was going to be my last as soon as the lady behind the counter started... tripp'n about me paying 1 dollar for some sweet and sour sauce, after I just paid almost $20 dollars for my meal..... whichturned out to not be what I ordered anyway, but I didn't find out until I got back to my room. I paid with my card, and I toldher I didn't have a dollar on me to pay for the sauce, and I definitely wasn't going to charge a dollar. The way she looked,you'd thought I asked for a whole free meal.
