It's hard to believe food of this quality is in franklin. Tulip and rose, Bravo! Their tapas menu selection was tantalizing. The... potatoes..???? that chilled almond soup was out of this world. The food was cooked Perfectly. The interior is beautiful. Thestaff is very friendly. Top it off with an excellent creme brulee and a Turkish coffee. It was a little pricey but worth everypenny. I cant wait to go back. Thank You! Read more

One of the best meal experiences we had. We saw a documentary about the restaurant on YouTube and came to try their Turkish... menu. It was a really long drive but worth it. Restaurant has great ambiance. We set outside and it is surrounded by greeneryand a beautiful big tree. All other people eating their were looking peaceful and happy. I guess Sufis have that impact on thesurroundings. Prices are very reasonable knowing that meal is peppered by some great group of mystics. How can you beat that?.Just the peace and quite was worth spending time and the drive all the way to Franklin, a town I didn’t know existed if itwasn’t for these mystics/Sufis. Read more

We were staying in Walton and had to pass through Franklin; just happened to drive by and decided to stop in for a late lunch... since it is a cool looking place and has great reviews. Not to pick on upstate fare, but y’all probably know it’s hit ormiss when you drive through these little towns (no disrespect!). We didn’t realize they were closing at 2PM, and when weshowed up they made no issue about it and sat us right away, assuring us it wasn’t a problem. Unique menu. My wife and I gotthe Korean fried chicken sandwich and my father in law got the chicken shish. Wow. Honestly, blown away. Absolutely incredible— fresh and a master blend of ingredients. Can tell a lot of love went into this menu. We finished with some baklava, whichwas apparently from a Turkish bakery. Amazing quality. Erdem talked with us for a good ten minutes after our meal. Real chill, pleasant dude — and a fellow Long Islander! Offered us umbrellas to get to our car when it started pouring. I’d drive the3.5 hours up just to come back. Read more

Loved the service here. Multiple cuisines. Very friendly staff. We took an hour long detour just to visit this spot, but we were... running late and requested the staff to keep it open after closing hours. They honored our request with a smile. Would love tovisit again. Keep up the good work. We need more places like this. Read more

Absolutely incredible dinner at The Tulip and The Rose with their 5th anniversary Tapas menu. The Soto Sayur was an exellent... soup to start things off. Light with an excellent usage of spices. The Honey Zatar Duck Drumettes were extremely crispy and hada great zatar flavor with a hint of honey and flaked sea salt. They were moist inside and perfectly cooked. Next up wasMousakka make with local produce. They eggplant was cooked perfectly and the tomatoes were nice and sweet. It made it refreshingin this warm weather. Last but not least were the Kari Ayam Tacos with lime crema. A distinct middle eastern/Mediterraneanspice flair highlights the tacos. The chicken was excellent with some pickeled onions and the cream to finish off the filling. All put inside a home made tortilla made this something I could have more and more of. I finished the meal with an extrachocolatey bundt cake. This was sweet but not too heavy and really completed the dinner. All in all this was well worth thetrip to Franklin, NY. I can see why it is called one of the best restaurants in the Catskills. With a weekly rotating menuhighlighting many parts of the world and various flavor profiles it really is a gem. I definitely recommend stopping in ormaking the trip to just go to dinner. @ The Tulip And The Rose Cafe Read more
