Nice little place out near a neighborhood away from town. Serving breakfast lunch and dinner you can get a good meat and two or... just a simple hamburger. Second time I've eaten here and the food is good it's Tuesday night and everybody else around me hadthe turkey dressing in two sides and it really looked like a good plate of food. Nice southern style hometown place to eat. I had the Thursday lunch special which was 8 bucks and change. It was great with... meatloaf mashed potatoes and turnip greens as my sides. I had a little mashed potatoes and gravy with each bite of the meatloafjust the way I like it and boy was it good. The sweet tea was good and not overly sweetened. Desert was warm apple pie which wasjust a tart and vanilla ice cream. I really have nothing bad to say about this place. They don?t take credit cards but an ATM isonsite and personal checks with ID are excepted but that may be for locals only. Oh, and the service was awesome and so veryfriendly. Read more
We enjoyed a quiet late lunch at Sunset on a Friday afternoon. The service was great! The food was good. It's a simple menu with... fresh specials. Unfortunately we were too late in the afternoon to get their fresh berry pies. Make sure to bring cash or an ATMcard. Read more
Our family visited here - twice ! It is friendly, comfortable and dependable food, prepared in a simple fashion. I had the cold... plate and loved everything on it, including the delicious cole slaw! Based on the number of people there each time we go, it isthe place to be in Franklin! Read more
The Sunset is good solid comfort food and is well-priced. Breakfast is the typical fare of bacon and eggs, pancakes, grits and... homemade biscuits. Lunch is good for a bowl of hearty soup and a hefty deli sandwich. The restaurant is spotless and cheerfulwith a wait staff that is very pleasant and accommodating. Some solid choices are offered but they would not be my first choice.The patrons are regulars; most come by to eat a heart dinner of meat, vegetables, biscuits and gravy and a nice slice of homemade pie for dessert. Delicious food, family friendly atmosphere. Service was excellent. I would highly recommend stopping here. We stopped in for... lunch, but the breakfast and dinner menu looked really good as well. April was a pleasant waitress and attentive. The food was yummy. Homey atmosphere. Very affordable!
