Used to be one of my favorites, for years and years. But every time I've gone recently the spicy/crispy chicken is just... disappointing. Not what it used to be. Used to be huge pieces of chicken with lots of crunchy bits and it was spicy hot enoughto make your forehead sweat. Nowadays it's WAY smaller pieces, with super oily breading and no spice to it. Highly satisfied and would recommend!! We did a very large catering order for pickup Saturday at noon, it was a ton of work for... this restaurant. Not only was everything ready on time, it was plenty hot, well packed, not an single item missing, and theemployees even helped load it up in our car. Truly phenomenal staff! Thank you so much! Went through the drive thru at 8:00 was told they didn't have any chicken, we asked what time they closed to which they say... 10:00. So we asked if they could make some. After checking they say yes that we would have to wait 20 minutes which we said wasfine. We spent $46 ordering a 16 piece spicy family meal, they made it and brought it out to us. Got home and the Cole slaw inwarm and spoiled, the sides are in individual cups of which we got two of each, and the chicken was horrible. Chicken had allthe breading falling off was sitting in a pile of grease which was soaking through the box and absolutely no seasoning. Nothingspicy about it. No seasoning at all. Gizzards over cooked in stale oil. She said they were sold out of liver, sold out of pies, I get the feeling she just didn't... want to cook them, and not very friendly. Placed an order in the drive-through, had to wait 40 minutes to even pay. Never got an apology, no explanation, and the... gentleman who spoke to me was thoroughly rude. Plus, when I finally got home and took a drink, my Pepsi was completely flat. Iwon't be going back to this location and I advise others to avoid it. Read more
The food is delicious. However, if you shy away from run down hole in the wall food joints... This is not the place for you. All... the workers are a little rough around the edges but polite. The sweet tea is OUT OF THIS WORLD. Chicken is thick and juicy.Sides are yummy! This particular place only has 3 booths. My family has been coming to this location since it was first built. Love the chicken. Lately though, the crispy chicken just... isn't the same anymore and the automated speaker box ... definitely a HUGE no thank you. Give me a human that will get my orderright.
