We brought my parents to celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary. I told our waiter when he sat us but had nothing prearranged.... After a delicious meal, the waiter boxed my patents' leftovers and brought a complimentary bottle of prosecco for us. Themanager and the owner took the time to congratulate my parents personally and ask for their secret to success all those years!It was a very special occasion and much appreciated. The restaurant was beautifully decorated with a very nice patio area and ahuge mural uniting Italian landscapes and local Frederick landmarks. An excellent experience for us! This Italian restaurant is the best in Frederick area hands down!! Being from NJ where Italian food is a big staple and having... lived in Italy before, I can say this place is a must! My husband and I attended a wedding rehearsal event there last month andwe also just went back again for a double date because it was that amazing!! Their staff are top notch, very knowledgable andattentive! It's such a great romantic date night spot and their food will leave you wanting more even if you're full. Forstarters their fried calamari was to die for (seriously the perfect crisp and favor), along with their caprese salad, arancini,beef carpaccio. If you love a good caesar salad, just wait until you try theirs!! Their Marinara sauce is on point which is amust with Italian food if you know. Their veal parmigiana literally has me wanting more just thinking about it lol. Also theirsaltimbocca, shrimp scampi and veal marsala. They get their veal local so its super fresh! Make sure you stop by during happy hour as there are drinks and appetizers on special. The drinks we ordered were great. The... flavor combinations were hit or miss but the portion sizes are pretty big for the entrees. I ordered the seafood /shrimp scampipasta and the sauce was wonderful but the shrimp tasted like freezer burn/old frozen shrimp. Read more
Food is excellent. Staff are professional and knowledgeable. Makes you feel welcome. My wife and I have been going here for... awhile now. Even when my wife was out state getting a lung transplant. I received a Valentines card at the hotel. Signed by allthe staff. That made us feel very appreciative and special. Cucina Masi is the place to go. Read more

We decided to give Cucina Massi a try for our anniversary. We went last Thursday and opted for an early dinner. We were the... first to arrive at 4:00 so we were able to get a pleasant table outside. Although we were the first it did not take long forother guests to arrive. All of the staff were very nice. We were not rushed to order and meal timing was perfect. We have neverhad grilled calamari so we decided to give that a try. It is a great alternative to fried and had good flavor from the grill andthe texture was perfect. The mussels come in red or white sauce. We both enjoyed our main dish. They were well portioned. Itried my husbands shrimp and his dish definitely had some spice to it. Food and service were outstanding. Being a member of one of the preeminent restaurant families in the area, Massimo absolutely... knows what he is doing both in the back and front of the house. We had to wait about an hour but it was not a problem as thereis much to do in the area while waiting. We found a very cool little cocktail joint called the 10th Ward and hung out thereuntil they called us for our table. Check out the size of the chicken parm with eggplant.
