For STI and HIV Testing: This institution is absolutely horrendous. They do walk-in HIV testing only 2 times a week (Tuesdays... and Fridays) and they offer absolutely NO other testing services. The huge irony is that the building is enormous and it isclear that there is money that could be invested to providing these services. They ended up referring me to Planned Parenthoodto seek the resources I needed (which you have to pay for if you dont have insurance). This experience further proves to methat Frederick County has no commitment to creating a forward-thinking environment in terms of transit or public services. Yet,quite clearly the county government is taking in HUGE amounts of money from taxes (it continually raises them on its residents).Absolutely disgusting. Did not follow through at all on my problems with my MHC application, and never called me or emailed me. When I wrote to her,... Heather said my "case" had been passed along to the MHBC and there was nothing she could do. Once I figured out what the MHBCwas, I called and found out the right Dept to contact. All this could have been done at the Health Dept.. I ended up doing theirjob. Incompetent and uncaring. Read more
I get letters to remind me of my appointments and to get lab work done. Each time I go to LabCorp my lab works never ordered... ever. I went there this morning at 6:30 to LabCorp and again they told me nothing was ordered. Total waste of my time this isthe third time it has happened. I will be switching providers I will go to a real doctor and not a pretend doctor. These peopleare totally 100% incompetent. I've been trying to enroll myself and my kids on the Maryland Health Connection. When I got some troubles with the website I... went to see who could help me at te Frederick Health Department. There you are treated with no respect, they hide behind theircomputers and it is impossible to know what they are doing, even if they are doing something to your account. To be fair, Thefirst person who took care of my case was actually very efficient and very friendly. It is when I got her team leader lady thatI felt very uneasy and not respected. I have been waiting for this person to unlock my web page on the Maryland HealthConnection for more than 2 weeks now and I am still waiting for her to do something constructive. She does not answer her phone.Fortunately I have her email, which give me the proof I am following on my case when she does not. Be very patient and have allyour courage available if you have to deal with those people. It is really a shame! Read more
