Thoroughly enjoyed a great lunch at Madrones with my wife. Fall off the bone baby back ribs and shrimp and grits were really... delicious. Long day; far too tired to make dinner so I found this gem on Open Table. I cannot believe I just tried this restaurant tonight.... Sat at the bar and ordered Crab Dip, Hot Wings, Guinness and a Screwdriver ;). The meal was absolutely delicious. The wings werecooked to perfection; the crab dip was hot, creamy, and FULL of crabmeat. To add more; the bartender presented superb customerservice. She (forgot to write down her name) immediately introduced herself as I approached the bar. As I began to sit shecarefully placed a dark cloth on the counter in front of me in preparation for my meal then calmly and quietly asked me if shecould assist me with a beverage of my choice. I then knew I was in the presence of a proud professional. As I placed my requestI noticed how uninterrupted she was as she maintained her focus on my every word. Her customer service is more than outstanding.Forward, the atmosphere is upbeat and welcoming with quiet conversations about but not so whereas it interferes with others. Theease of parking is one to remember as the restaurant rests on a shared parking lot of a shopping center. Tonight was my firstvisit and I am sure to return. Read more

We ordered 2 French dip sandwiches, that were Prime Rib sliced thin into sandwich’s, it came with French fries au jus. The... taste was out of this world, portions were filling, atmosphere was very pleasant, staff came to our needs as we needed them, andthe cost was more then reasonable. I enjoyed celebrating father's day at the restaurant. Service was very attentive despite the large number of guests. It was my... first time there and I liked the cost atmosphere. Guests were seated far apart enough that it was relatively quiet. I had therecommended drunken ribeye. It was very flavorful. Read more

Came Friday evening and it was quite busy. Waited 45 minutes for a table. Table didn't feel clean, surface was a bit sticky and... a dirty knife on the floor of our booth. Server was very nice and attentive. Food tasted OK at best considering the price butpresentation was great. Read more

I continue to be surprised by how many great restaurant choices there are in and around Frederick. We went here on a Sunday... afternoon, expect a wait time of an hour or longer. Luckily we had reservations, but still had to wait 30 minutes to be sat.Just goes to show how popular this place is. They have a brunch menu on Sunday's, I think it's available till 2pm. The food wasexcellent, and the service was great. It's a bit pricey for Frederick, but the portion sized are nice. Read more

As for the pros, I really liked the atmosphere of the restaurant. I loved the dim but dramatic lighting, especially at the... tables. Also, our server, Camilla, was very courteous and friendly. I thought the food presentation and the beers were quitenice. As for the cons, the food tasted just okay. My S/O had the Madrones Burger and I had the Portobello Gnocchi. Both werevery light tasting flavor-wise, but they had a lot of heaviness/oil to them. In fact, the bottom of my gnocchi dish was mainlyoil. The cheesecake was also too sweet/heavy, but that might just be a preference thing. I wish I could like both theatmosphere and food. Read more

This is a difficult one. The food isn't good. But the managements lack of interest makes it an absolutely no. The location and... decor is inviting and nice. Our server was quick and friendly. Unfortunately you have to eat what they bring you. The calamariwas so salty no one ate more than one bite. They can't even cook a burger to temperature. A burger ordered as rare comes outwell done. A medium burger was burnt to a crisp. I rejected my food immediately. The server showed it to a manger who removedit from the check... But never came by. Completely ignoring the hockey puck on a bun they expected my son to eat. The rating of2 or 3 would have been fair... But the fact that the management doesn't care at all... And I just paid 80 dollars for inediblefood... Just drive right past. Read more
