World class restaurant in Fredericksburg, Texas with a chef and menu unexpected - absolutely brilliant combination of... ingredients indigenous to the area of the country while bringing in premium quality of foods. Presentation of both entrees anddesserts were a pleasant surprise. Very lovely restaurant in Fredericksburg with good ambience. The bartender was extremely nice but service was a little lacking... for us .. but we did end up having to sit in the bar area so definitely could be the reason why. Food had amazing presentationquality and the two appetizers we ordered were delicious. Would love to go back and try some of the entrees! Just note is itexpensive. Read more
I would definitely recommend this place to anyone traveling through Fredericksburg. We absolutely enjoyed their food for brunch.... Absolutely beautiful restaurant, inside and out with thoughtful dining and lounging areas. The gorgeous Texas stone work outside... contrasts well with the darker furnished wood, brass, and cowhide textures on the inside. I had the best Ceviche ever--so manyflavors. I came here specifically for the Jalapeño Waffle with Fried Chicken and it was even better than I imagined! (How often does... that happen?!)\n\nMy daughter had the ceviche and it was amazing as well. The House Salad was light and big enough to split.They were even accommodating with a special waffle with chocolate dipping sauce for my 3 year old granddaughter.\n\nIt wasn’tpacked as it was a Tuesday lunch however service was attentive/appropriate for a much busier crowd.\n\nHighly recommend! Visited Sage Restaurant and Lounge for our anniversary dinner. The setting and atmosphere fit the moment. The service was great... and very helpful with the menu. To celebrate we ordered the tomahawk steak which was cooked to the perfect temperature. Thesides were broccoli, mushrooms, and potatoes. The salad was also very tasty.
