When I walked in I thought it was a dump. Boy, was I wrong. They're croft night special was shrimp boil. I got a small corn on... the cob, two small red potatoes, and a pound of scrumptious shrimp and it was only $7.99. I WAS IN SHRIMP NIRVANA. A definitedate night meal for Friday. Oh yeah, Saturday night is sirloin steak with two sides for $9.99. Need I say more? Read more
Great local bar, awesome service and excellent food and drink prices. Recommend it if you are in Fredricksburg.

The food is great the wife and I wanted to eat in but the ventilation from the bar side is not doing the job. On the non-smoking... side the smoke is very strong. So we ask for take out. Read more
Gave this place 2 stars because they allow smoking inside which is great for smokers but not for me. They had a few pool tables... and some gaming machines which was nice and the bar tender seemed like a good guy. They have fans running all over the bar. I'massuming that is because of the smoke. Stayed long enough to have one drink and walked out smelling like an ashtray. There issome outside seating and there is plenty of parking. Read more
So you want some delicious chili, eh?! Nope, not here. Hard Times Cafe has left and now it?s a restaurant called Charlie G?s.... Was told the menu is pretty much the same as HTC (minus any signs of chili). The food was good, kinda pricey. Where this newrestaurant excelled however, was the friendly staff. They were all down to earth with their customers, funny, genuinely happy tobe there. If I was to go back it would be solely based on the friendly customer service...then the food. I hope they will makeit, filling Hard Times Cafe will be a tough shoe to fill in that space. ?? Read more
Yesterday I had the best cheese nachos in years, I can't stop thinking about it. The place is nice and you can smoke inside. Our... waitress was Cindy and she is excellent, she made my *Cuba libre* with the amount of rum that is needed. This a nice place. Read more
