This place used to make a decent Indian food about 2 years ago. I ordered Chicken Biryani last night. This is the most bland,... tasteless Indian food I have ever had in my life. I had to trash the food and feel wasted my money. I am a big fan of Indianfood so it was a huge disappointment. Read more

We’ve been here pre-Covid and it was delicious but what we had tonight was outstanding. Whatever you’re doing now - keep... doing it. Upscale presentation. Perfect flavors. Amazing textures. Raita was another level - sweet, fresh & minty. PaneerTandori. Vegetable Biryani. Garlic & Basil Naan. Mango Lassi. Read more

We arrived at Taste of Spice for dinner on Sunday evening around 5:25pm. It is an unassuming casual dining restaurant. We were... the only couple dining there but they did seem busy fulfilling pick up and delivery orders though. We ordered “lamb roganjosh,” order of “raita” (yogurt), one garlic naan (bread), one roti (unleavened bread), and mango lassi (drink). The lambrogan josh came with a generous helping of fluffy basmati rice with few peas on top. The serving portions are decent for theprice. I didn’t like the raita because it had a weird tangy taste to it. I wish I had gone with plain yogurt instead. The lambrogan josh was just as mild as I had requested it but it was nothing to rave about. FYI: it’s a misconception that Indian foodneeds to be spicy to taste good. The roti was quite a disappointment for me because I’m Indian so I expect it to be madelight, soft and airy like the rotis I grew up eating in India. This version of roti was very thin, cracked and dry. The garlicnaan was soft and delicious. The mango lassi had the right amount of sweetness and you could taste the mango flavor.Unfortunately I fell sick at the restaurant due to my surgery complications. I had to visit their bathroom and it is clean andwell maintained. Overall first impression of the restaurant is not that great. Read more

Taste of Spice is a family owned Indian and Nepalese restaurant located in Fredericksburg. The best Indian and Nepalese food I... ever had . Absolutely delicious. Please plan to go there - they even modified their menu for lunch since buffet has been closeddue to COVID . They have thali (platter )options and it is amazing. Very reasonable , affordable and inexpensive for super highquality food . Love it . Wish them all the best . Read more

A good place to satisfy your Indian food craving. The flavors of the food were good and spice levels went up to "Extra Hot" but... some of the dishes were extremely salty that we had to notify management. Luckily they knew exactly what dishes were saltybefore we even told them and caught their mistake so those dishes could've tasted a lot better. The service was not great as itseemed like they prioritized to-go orders instead of dine in customers. Got our waters filled once throughout dinner. We askedfor onion/peppers and was told we would get them but never got them. Must Try: •Bhel Puri (Extra Hot; great fusion of sweetand spicy flavors. If you have a tolerance of spicy foods Extra Hot for this dish is perfect) •Paneer Shashlik (MediumHot) •Navratran Korma (Hot, not as spicy as was expected but great flavors) •Shahi Paneer (Medium Hot; a lot more gravy thanpaneer. This is typically a sweet dish so this was a good balance with the spicy dishes) •Mango Lassi •Bullet Naan (Not onmenu but it's Chili-Garlic Naan) •Roti (fresh, buttery, well done) Not My Fav: •Pani Puri (Extra Hot; pani and masalawouldve good aside from it being salty but gave us a very few puri) Read more
