Food is good. But they give Lots of Small portions of meat, and a lot of bones. Bones Bones Bones. They did at one time give... good meat portions. NOT ANY MORE. U will pay $30. For two small lunches with NO MEAT and "All Bones". But food tastes good. Butnot for the price. So unreasonable!! And they totally KNOW they're taking your Hard earn money. Try and you'll see. This was my first visit to the Taste of Trelawny and the service was amazing, the guy was very kind and the hospitality was... beyond superior . The food here was outstanding, I must admit. I ordered a large oxtails and curry goat mixed . Both wereextremely tender. My only issue is the portion size. I only received four small bones for a Large oxtail. I was a bitdisappointed. I'm sure I'll visit again to try something else. My meal priced at $29.00 plus 7.00 for a super moist strawberrycake that was on point. Great job on the cake. Read more

The food here is amazing with much flavor and taste. We have tried multiple restaurants like Pimento, and Taste of Trelawny... blows the flavor out of the water. Our favorite meal is spicy escovitch. Rum cakes are amazing as well. Customer service isfriendly and on point, we’ll organized, and clean. Read more

Customer service from the young lady was exemplary. Now to thefood OMG!! Fresh, hot and banging!! The portions will have you requesting for a plush pillow and a comfy blanket. Price isn't afactor considering from the exterior to the food was exquisite in taste and looks. Fast casual prices with a upscale touch handsdown!!! Read more

I went to this restaurant and was not happy at all. I ordered Jerk chicken. The chicken was hard, and tasted like they dipped it... smoke sauce. If I had to guess, I'd say they over cooked the chicken or the chicken was heated in a microwave. The chicken was ashiny pink inside. Very, very uneditable. The rice portion was tiny, I think they ran out of rice because the portion was verysmall. The only good thing was the cabbage and the plantains. Defenetly not worth $16+. Very nice staff. Very courteous. Read more

I'm a fan of Carib Shack in Virginia Beach and have been searching for similarly good Caribbean restaurant ever since. After... reading the mixed reviews I hesitatingly went with my family here today. My son ordered the small mild jerk chicken with side ofplantains and rice & peas. My husband and I together ordered a combo of brown chicken stew & goat curry on top of rice & peaswith side of plantains and cabbage. We sat outside by the beautifully painted wall mural. Restaurant is very clean and COVIDcompliant. The cashier is very friendly and offered suggestions to us when my husband told him that he cannot handle food that'stoo spicy. The mouth watering aroma of the food hit us the minute we opened our boxes. The minute we took a bite of each item itwas heaven! The jerk chicken was seasoned perfectly and the rice & peas that come with it had a kick to it. My son enjoyed hismeal and the small size was actually quite big for him and he brought home the leftovers to enjoy latter on tonight. My husbandcouldn't resist eating the curry goat meat which falls off the bones and is packed with delicious curry flavor. It was juicy andsucculent. The brown stew chicken is also very flavorful and the chicken falls off the bones too. Our rice & peas were drenchedin the curries which made it even more delicious for us. My husband also enjoyed the plantains. We both loved the steamedcabbage. I usually hate cabbage but this cabbage was actually delicious to eat. Each item had its own unique flavor and thisrestaurant proves food doesn't need to be over the top spicy to be delicious although they do have spicier options available tothose who prefer that. The curry goat really stands out for us and so does the jerk chicken! The portions are generous and theprice is standard for the area restaurants. I've found my perfect Jamaican restaurant near me. We also purchased two rum cakeswhich we have not eaten yet so I cannot comment on their taste. I'll update later. Can't wait to Read more
