I gave 1 star for the girl that took our order since she was very nice. I would've given none if not for her. Service was... EXTREMELY FAST... I like fast but that was not normal fast... We started eating and my husband ask me if I found the taste weirdon the chicken. I said it was a little burned but surely must've been the oil taste ???? We went there at 2pm on tuesday... Weboth got sick by 8pm. Am I mean really sick right ????????... We got poisoned. Big indigestion. I can tell you at one point Ithought I was dying. We're 2 days later now and we're still not well. Headaches and low energy since we still can't eat much(Just liquids). It was my first time in a Dixie Lee and wanted to try it for a very long time. But let me tell you that I won'teven consider going back there ever again in my life. Just wanted to let people know if someone got sick that day and waswondering if anyone else was... Well we did!! Used to be a great place to stop coming through the north side to pick up dinner on the cheap. I don't think I've been in here... two times in a row over the last 2 years without a noticeable price increase in their "specials", generally accompanied with amatched decrease in service. Just get take out from a diner, there's no price difference anymore. Nickle and dining the pricesevery month will be the death of this place, shame too, it's been here for years and years. Went here today and ordered the fish and chips dinner. The fish portions were thick and tasty. The box was loaded with fries and... came with a small roll and coleslaw. A highly recommended place to stop by. I?ll come by again soon for the chicken. Read more
Last summer, I was with my group of summer camp children (about 6 of them) and a couple children had to use the washroom while... we went for a nature walk. The closest place was Dixie Lee?s so we all went in. I asked if some of my kiddos could use theirbathroom, and one of the workers rudely said that if we?re not buying anything, then we cannot use their bathroom. First of all, the chicken is not fried but roasted. They don't even put breadcrumbs on it. Secondly, the cheese on the poutine... taste not fresh at all. Overall, it was a bad experience for us and not recommended it. It taste not good at all. Read more
This is a home of fried chicken and a bunch of seafood. Options are great with onsite generous parking. The portion is... definitely fill you up. Once it locates on riverside, the view is great in the evening. Read more
