Had a wonderful dinner here last month. Service was friendly and efficient, and although seemingly trivial, lamps on the tables... were a nice touch for middle-aged eyes that would otherwise be squinting at the menu. Beer/wine/cocktail selection was solid.The crispy broken truffle spuds were a tremendous appetizer, and a sign of more goodness to come. The Mrs got the halibutentree, which was perfectly cooked and seasoned. My butternut squash ravioli was also delicious. For dessert, we shared the warmsticky toffee cake, which we agreed was one of the best confections we've ever tasted. The pumpkin pie martinis were alsogreat. It was our anniversary, and we were impressed with how they made a point to acknowledge the occasion. There was a nicecard on the table, and they gave us complimentary glasses of champagne with dessert. This was our 2nd time dining here, and bothmeals were excellent. We will be back. Read more
Ok this place is hands down one of the best restaurants in New Jersey! Amazing service from the minute we walked in. Our... waitress was very attentive and helped us make great picks for our meals. Overall I found everything to be mediocre. There are too many restaurants out there to pay for average/ok food. We had the... mozzarella and watermelon salad start which was the best thing we ordered. That was so delicious! The next appetizer weordered was the stuffed poblano pepper which was horrible! The chicken tasted like it came from the frozen department at thesupermarket! The meat wasn’t tender and it tasted funny. For entrees we had the swordfish and truffle ricotta purses. Bothwere overall just fair. The swordfish was suppose to come with a carrot cumin cardamom sauce, but the sauce it came with wasbland. It had no flavor at all. The jasmine rice it came with was boring. It tasted like plain white rice you get a Chinesestore. For desserts we had chunky monkey brownie sundae and the apple crostata. I had my 30th birthday party at 618 this past weekend! It was the best experience dealing with the staff from start to finish,... very professional, great atmosphere, they communicate well and get every detail perfect. We just came here tonight for the first time, as an early Valentine’s Day dinner. It was excellent! Our server, Matthew, was... top notch. He was extremely detail-oriented, gave great recommendations, and made us aware of little nuances and offerings fromthe menu that we would have missed otherwise. What a great experience. Went here for pre-birthday dinner with friends and had an amazing time with NYC vibes. The restaurant... is pretty looking and staff is friendly. We waited at the bar for 30mins w/drinks before we got seated. The smoky old fashionedwas fancy and was nice n strong????. For apps we ordered short rib ravioli, Brussels sprouts, stuffed peppers, crab cakes andeverything was delicious. For dinner, we ordered meatballs, halibut, skirt steak, cowboy steak, branzini. Everything again wasphenomenal. For desert, pecan pie n cookie ice cream were ???? A great spot for a great occasion and we left all happy nsatisfied. If u haven’t been here, go here right away. Phenomenal, I can not say enough about the food here. My pork chop was cooked to perfection! I loved it so much, I was upset I... finished it so quickly. We just had our wedding here last night. I can not give enough praise for 618 and their entire staff. From Jessica the banquet... manager, to all the staff, servers, bartenders - the service was 1st class. Our guests raved about the delicious food, whichjust seemed to never end. The modern rustic decor is exactly the type of room that we had for our vision and it was justPERFECT! When i had to go back this morning to get our left behind decor, the staff even assisted in bringing it downstairs toload into our truck. Bravo to your entire team, keep up the great work. Read more
