It was my first time eating here today. The Mac and cheese is not very good, wouldn't recommend. The cheese tastes like it came... out of a can, not going to lie. The fries were decent. The food was good for what there was of it. Ever since they moved to their new location (new owners?) the portions have been... cut in half and when you get a beef sandwich you get half the beef of what you used to get on it when they were downtown. I wasmore than disappointed. I thought maybe it could have been a mistake so the next time I ordered it again, same thing, almost nobeef and all bread. I went back to the counter and ordered their double beef and that had even less beef on it than the regularbeef had on twice the size bun. Needless to say since they cut their portions and raised their prices I will not be going backor recommending them to anyone. Such a shame because the food and service was good. When I want a Chicago Beef, I expect aChicago Beef portion like they used to be before they moved. Read more

Chicago Dog Love! For dietary reasons I hadn't had a Chicago Dog in over a decade and this dog was everything I missed. Cannoli!... My Dad had the Gyro, he enjoy it very much and Ma hadn't had fries that good in a long time. Service was very friendly andinformative as we had never been here before. Eat the cannoli first! 3/5/2020 Honestly, The appearance of the establishment was nice, cozy, and clean. Customer service was decent, being it was my... husband and I first visit we took a longer time searching the menu to finally decide that an Italian beef was the choice. Ihonestly, appreciate the fact that we was not rushed. After receiving the food I quickly noticed the cheese for the fries werehorrible! The cheese tasted like imitation cheddar melted cheese. We bought it so we tried using it to dip our thinly cut friesBUT we ended up having to throw it in the garbage because it was so nasty. As far as the sandwiches.. we were absolutely letdown! I?m from Chicago and believe me that Italian beef with ?sweet peppers and mozzarella? was nothing close to ?312? aka?Chicago style?. From looking at the photos you can see the cheese was shredded and not melted. The meat was bland and justtasteless. Overall, I do wish that we passed this place up because our meal was not necessarily cheap and most of it wentinside the trash. I wish places wouldn?t Imply ?Chicago style? meals because most of the time it should only read, ?our style?or ?Freeport style? (my honest opinion as usual). good dogs but they are really small and they charged me the same for a regular dog with ketchup and mustard as the chicago dog.... I got two dogs and walked out spending almost 12 dollars! 5 bucks for a bun and dog is literally the same price as a stadium inchicago. nothing special about it. definitely would come back if they weren't so pricey as they did taste good. to bad i guess.
