I read up in the booklet of Eastern Townships that Frelignsburg is a very beautiful town and that it is walked around town which... has really nice historical buildings which is good as they have lots of history the general store being the oldest. We decidedto grab a light lunch locally sourced products went with a pate and duck confit was certainly very good and enjoyable wouldcertainly go back again we were sat outside on the terrace overlooking the river which was very peaceful. We decided to try because the menu looked good with high end ingredients and decent reviews online, but we were disappointed... with the food and service. Decent prices, but lack of seasoning and vision made the main courses seem sub-par at best.Everything was cooked okay, but nothing seemed to have any flavor or seasoning on it. For example, the garlic butter with theshrimp and scallops tasted like regular butter and the steak had no trace of red wine in a red wine sauce, and nothing seemed tohave been salted, which is a shame considering products like lamb, duck, steak, salmon, scallops, etc... Maybe ordering basicdinner food is a better bet here. Service was basically non-existent; slow would be an understatement. Even for having arelaxed dinner where you are chatting and just hanging out it's too slow. We waited to order, our table ran out of drinks, wewere never checked on during our meal, and they never came for the check. I would recommend spending a few extra dollars andgoing to Lyvano across the street. Read more
Great spot. Clean place with excellent food and reasonable prices. Nothing better than sitting outside over the small stream on... a nice day. They don't rush you. If your in a hurry better tell them before you sit down. Read more
This is a more casual pub-like restaurant with rustic decor and a pretty garden out front. It features local seasonal... ingredients and specializes in grilled dishes. Service is very gentle. Delightful little restaurant in the center of town. The menu has a wide range of offerings, from light fare to full 3-course... meals. My wife and I both enjoyed our meal, and the service was perfect; not too little, and not overbearing. We willdefinitely make this our "pit stop" on the road to Montreal from now on! Read more
I love this place in the summer the terrace is over a stream in the winter there's a glowing fireplace. The service is... excellent, friendly and honest. The food is very good I like the BLT, Montagne burger and the specials are always perfect. Aperfect spot for a casual meal. By the way prices are good too. Read more
Made a quick trip into Quebec and decided to stop for lunch. At the time we stopped, the only employee in the restaurant was... cooking and serving. He did a fine job at both. It was not crowded and he handled the few tables there adroitly. Other workersshowed up during our visit. We had the club sandwich and the duck salad, both of which were ample and quite good. The lentilsoup was also very nice. A pleasant place with a pleasant and helpful staff. Recommended. Read more
Amazing little Swiss restaurant with Great food and great service. Nice to sit outside along the river. Food was great and... beautifully presented. Salmon was delicious and so was the steak and scallops. Read more
