1st time visit. But it will be our last. Here's why. We were seated quickly. However the menus were all just shoved at us. We... ordered and the menus were left on the small table throughout lunch. As were the used dishes from completed appetizers. I willsay that it was not busy, 4 tables including ours and two intoxicated older ladies at the sushi bar. The saki must have beengood. The waitress was upset because I asked her to repeat herself after she mumbled something about silverware. A male waitercame to clearly say what the waitress said. Asking if I needed a fork when I was using chopsticks. I'm a bit hard of hearing.Excuse me for a disability you can't see. The food looked good when it arrived. Actually it was mediocre. Not seasoned well, the steamed rice on my beef teriyaki box tasted a bit like mold. The veggie tempura was soooo greasy it dripped everywhere andliterally fell apart on the chopsticks, and made a huge mess if you tried to eat it with your hands. The sushi on the otherhand was well prepared and was the only reason they got a 2 star rating. I'm my opinion, they need to train the waitstaff to becustomer oriented and actually check on customers during their meal. The cooks should know more oil is not better when it comesto cooking, especially tempura. Remember light and airy batter not loose and drippy and limp.. When I go out with my family andspend my hard earned money on food. I expect it to be good, I expect promot FRIENDLY service. I understand being busy and thatdoes slow things down but it wasn't the case here. So no excuse for the bad service. And if a waitress is having a bad day, don't blame the customer. We didn't cause it to happen. I hope you have a better experience there than I did. Read more

Overall, this place is really good and has a cool atmosphere. There are a couple of places in Fresno and Clovis that are... slightly better. The banging of the utensils at the beginning was over the top loud. My ear was ringing all night when I gothome. Other than that, I would say the experience was pretty fun. We all had a good meal and a great time. Read more

I brought my sister in law to try sushi for the first time in California, we both went to wasabi on fire because of all the hype... we heard. The food tasted okay.. didn?t taste good, just barely average. During the last bite, I look at the sushi & I see apiece of hair. Absolutely appalled and disgusted. I know it?s not my hair because it was curled up in the roll, as if the chefspecifically took the hair from his scalp & wrapped it in the roll. Unless you want hairy sushi, run! Luckily the waitress tookoff that roll from the bill. My first and last time there. Read more

Let me start this review by saying, We go to Wasabi on fire and have Teppanyaki for pretty much every birthday in our family.... Therefore In March 2022 we did the same for my oldest daughter?s birthday. We normally have great service and great food. Thistime was different. Our veggies were note cooked, rice was cooked for less than 5 minutes, and my steak looked like it wasboiled (not seared). My son ordered the salmon with lemon butter sauce. The chef covered the salmon with so much garlic, lemon, teriyaki and butter you could not see the piece of fish. When he placed the fish on my sons plate, the butter was not melted. There was so much garlic powder used, it felt like I was eating sand and so much oil it pooled in the bottom of my plate likesoup. I could not finish my meal, let alone take home leftovers. Our chef arrived about ten minutes after the chef at theneighboring table and was finished with our food about ten minutes before the neighboring tables chef. I spoke to the supervisorand after he saw our food, he applied a discount. But still spent well over $200 for terrible food and service. From now on Iwill take my business elsewhere. Read more

Balled out and took pops too sushi the other night. He got a couple amazing rolls. The omg and the firecracker. I had any... "omasake" or chefs choice. And man the chef did me right!! Sea bass to start, then a spicy cucumber roll with tuna, then fattysalmon and fatty tuna sashimi and to end it. A beautiful king crab leg ???????????? Expensive dinner but worth every penny. I like Wassabi on Fire's teppanyaki dinner. They flavor the food perfectly. The sweet and spicy sauce is good. They offer a la... carte which is the regular meal. They offer the dinner option which simply comes with ice cream and a little extra meat. Don'tfall into the dinner option unless you want the ice cream. Their drinks are beautiful and are good. You can seat a group up to20 people for dinner. They are located in the shopping center with Rite Aid on Willow on Nees. They are my new teppanyakifavorite. Read more
