Anna Maria and the team at Coho were awesome to work with. While researching caterers for our wedding weekend we were... absolutely blown away by the level of detail that was put into Coho’s proposal for our events, but the best part was theconversations. Anna Maria was able to guide us through how to make our dreams reality, but also was able to steer us away fromsome pitfalls and things that may have ended up being more trouble than they were worth. She was also willing and able to helpus with booking rentals, even when they weren’t related to the food, and her familiarity with our venue (Saltwater) and SanJuan Island helped make everything go smoothly, and was super adaptable for some of our guests dietary restrictions. Our guestsraved about the food every step of the way, and everyone with Coho was phenomenal to work with. Coho and Anna Maria helped makefor the most fun wedding we could imagine, and we strongly recommend reaching out to them for your event. Read more

I am supportive of the farm to table food movement and appreciate the intimate atmosphere of the restaurant. I was looking... forward to experiencing a great meal of northern WA produce and meats. Given the wonderful reviews from other diners, we musthave been at Coho on an off night (August 3, 2022). The four course prix fixe meal took 2+ hours, mainly due to the slow pace ofthe wait staff. It seemed like everyone employed there moved in slow motion. The food was delicious but they were out ofseveral dishes, including the only vegetarian entree on the menu. With such a limited menu, it seemed odd that the kitchen wouldrun out of any item, but then again we did have one of the later reservations at 8pm. I thought charging $8 for 5 slices ofbread and a tiny pat of butter was unexpected considering Coho isn't _that_ special to warrant such high prices. Also, thecioppino was bland compared to San Francisco standards, but the seafood was fresh. The service was not impressive. My daughterordered a chardonnay but received a rose, and it was maybe 2.5 ounces not the full 5 ounce pour that is industry standard.Plates were served to the wrong people at our table of 4, and this happened repeatedly. The restaurant was not busy so itshouldn't be hard to remember what we each ordered. We were constantly asking (begging) for our waters to be refilled. Pursuitof hydration became the theme of the evening. The waitress would serve the course and come back in one minute to ask how thingswere, then we wouldn't see her for 15-20 minutes. It was as if the wait staff were subbing or filling in, and didn't fully graspthe entirety of their job. If you do decide to dine at Coho, I suggest you ask that a water carafe (or 2 or 3) be placed atyour table, and if you lean vegan/vegetarian call ahead to ask what vegan or vegetarian options are available in the kitchen(not just what is listed on the menu). If the cocktails aren't to your liking, don't hesitate to mention it. And chec Read more

So it's a very charming restaurant with a very nice waitress. The food however is very bland. Tasteless, respectively. I thought... maybe they had something other than Mexican food since Coho with what appears to be a Salmon as shown. I asked for more of therice & was told the cook burnt it & she would bring me more when it was finished cooking. Never seen anymore rice. Also I gotthe Grapefruit Tequila the saddest portion of alcohol I've ever purchased. Maybe 2-3 oz of fluid maybe 1 shot of tequila and therest grapefruit. $15 for a very small drink. It tasted like grapefruit juice. I was very disappointed with ratio to juice &tequila. I don't usually drink & it was a special occasion just to drink grapefruit juice you can clearly see the small servingsize. $15 is a lot of money for the horrible quality of beverage. Coho was very busy with reservations only or you get lucky andscore outside seating. The place is very quaint in appearance but the food without the side garnishments provided I wouldn'teven taste the food. First time on San Juan Island & not sure I feel so welcomed with the no parking signs placed everywherenear Friday Harbor. I get maybe it's tourist season but, tourists visiting shouldn't feel unwelcome or pushed outdoors. Thestaff was nice & seemed overwhelmed tonight. Only pop-up menus? But there is a Coho menu & that was never provided by staff. Read more

It was our first time in Friday Harbor and this was the restaurant we splurged on, we did not regret it! It was small inside and... the servers were very attentive and friendly. The food and drinks were incredible and the margarita had such a fun presentation. The flavor combinations of the corn masa dish blew our mind. Would definitely come back Read more
