This is a little hidden gem at Copper Mountain. Seriously one of the most delicious bbq spots I've had in Colorado. I came here... one night after snowboarding with a few friends and hitting the terrain parks so we were running on empty as far as calories go.We decided to stop by and live a little. Boy, oh boy, did we live. I ordered the 2 meat platter consisting of brisket, ribs, andmac & cheese. Everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly to the point that it didn't even need BBQ sauce in my opinion. One ofmy friends got a brisket sandwich and the other a pulled pork sandwich - they both were raving about their selections. There is nothing better than BBQ after a morning in the trees. The brisket was delicious. The location is convenient, right off... the American Eagle lift. Nice dining area to relax and rest the legs with a beer or two at the end of the day too. I have nowbeen here many times on the weekends. The food is always great. Besides the brisket the pulled pork and ribs are also excellent.For the sides, all of them are good, but I really like the fries and baked beans. When I'm not in the mood for BBQ, I usually gofor the fish and chips and this option is good. My wife loves the large salad with meat, usually opting for the pulled pork orturkey. The 3 meat platter was delicious! The ribs fell right off the bone, the brisket was very moist and tender, and the sausage was... the perfect amount of spice and snap. Not always a fan of coleslaw, but this one did not disappoint, very crisp and fresh. Theoriginal BBQ sauce was my favorite, I even took a bottle home with me. Read more
So, if you time it just right, and ask the BBQ expert if they can manage you some KC style burnt ends, you might be beside... yourself with joy eating outside in such a beautiful place. They also threw a few bones of ribs in for me, although it was notbusy, so I think that helped. They outta make burnt ends a regular on the menu though! Read more
Another spot in Copper Mountain that I'm a fan of is Eagle BBQ. They have been located in the center village since 2016 and... server up what they call Colorado BBQ, a mixture of the traditional American styles. Orders are placed at the counter and thereis plenty of seating available for groups of any size. There is also a small bar with a good selection of local craft beers anda full bar. Kids plates are available and include a burger, hot dog, chicken tenders, or mac and cheese. I went with the slowsmoked tender pulled pork platter ($16) served with a choice of side (bbq beans for me), thick cut white bread, and a fountaindrink or PBR. The side of beans was large and of good flavor. The meat was tender and had a nice smokey flavor. My wife had asimilar order but went with the pulled pork sandwich with side and same drink choices ($15). The portion size of pork seemed tobe pretty much the same, so maybe the sandwich meal is the way to go, unless you are going to try more than one of the meatsoffered. They do offer brisket, turkey, ribs, and sausage in addition to the pulled pork we tried. Overall a good and quick mealoption in Copper. Read more
My wife and I have lived at Copper for the last few years. We were very excited to see these guys come over from Vail to start a... BBQ joint at our home mountain. We heard great things about their last restaurant, and on our first visit here, we hope theystick around a long time!
