I ordered at 1:50 pm. No one else even ordered after me until 2:16. I only ordered a single burger and fries. They do not even... take your order here, you put it in yourself at a kiosk. Clean, updated, first time I seen a SS with NO WAITRESS OR WAITER, a lil weird but really cool to order what you want without... someone annoying you every 6 seconds asking if everything is okay. We had very good meals at Steak 'n Shake. Steak 'n Shake is incredibly under rated. Our burgers and fries were made fresh to... order. The lettuce, tomatoes and pickles were all fresh and crisp. The food was very fast and hot. Very tasty steakburgers and nice thin crispy fries. The staff was very kind. The business model... has changed for the better in my opinion. I had not been to Steak N Shake for years because even though I always liked the food,the service was not very good and fast. Now all they have are ordering kiosks and the drinks are self-serve. This place has really gone downhill. Gone is the unique old-time diner feel. You order at a screen, seat yourself, and there is... little to no contact from employees. No one welcomed us or even thanked us for coming in. The quality of the food has also gonedown, although the shakes seemed to be pretty good. I am not sure how much longer this place will be around.
