In an area not expected and it delivers such an exceptional experience. Not knowing what i was walking into I entered the... restaurant and was greeted with a very clean and comforting environment. The staff immediately tendered to my needs as I enteredand cared for my presence as a luxury. Nothing short of incredible!! Those who know me will tell you I do not enjoy Thai food. However, my dining experience at Ben's... family cuisine was spectacular. The food was fresh, delicious and filling. The staff was fast and accurate without giving us thefeeling of them hovering over us. Very personable, accommodating and welcoming. Phenomenal lunch today!! Started off with fresh spring rolls... perfectly prepared and a generous portion. My meal of Thai... basil chicken was perfect ... Just like I had in Thailand. Food is overrated and expensive for the amount served. The owner is nice, but said that the dish I was ordering might be too... spicy, so she suggested combining it with another curry dish. It smelled and tasted "off;" in fact, I had to race to thebathroom and only ate about 1/3 of it. When she picked up our dishes, I know she noticed how much I didn't eat, but she didn'task me if anything was amiss. My friend who accompanied me ordered some fried rice to take home, and was disappointed that thecontainer was so small for $16. I had also mentioned that it was her birthday, but they didn't even bring her a scoop of icecream. I have a feeling that if you are local to their area, or you are a regular customer, that you will get better portionsand quality. We were excited to try this place, but after spending $60+ for a mediocre lunch, sadly we would not return. Read more
We went there expecting good ole Virginia traditional family food, but was pleasantly surprised to find the menue packed with a... variety of Asian cuisine. Could not find a more friendly and generous restaurant in Front Royal. We had crispy roasted duck -superior taste. Cook is Asian and excellent. Read more
